What is it to you to fight 3 times K1 champion Bonjasky?
Zimmerman: He's just another opponent
-- Tell us about the Final 16 Glaube Fight.
Zimmerman: Overall, it was a good fight. I had to work hard to adjust to Feitosa's style, though. He had his strategy all thought out. He kept his guard up. But I was in better condition that time. That's why I won.
-- People were worried because you hadn't been training.
Zimmerman: People like to spread false rumors. They say I'd rather party than
train. Sure, I like to party, but I train too! You have to see both
sides to be fair.
-- Do you like to party that much? Like every day?
Zimmerman: Noone hates parties. But if you party everyday you'll ruin your body. If there's something to celebrate or if I have a light training schedule then I'll have some fun. When it's necessary.
-- December 5th looks like it'll be quite the party.
Zimmerman: Of course. It's also going to be a tough fight. My first opponent is Remy, so I have to fight at a higher level. I was in good shape for the Glaube ight, but it wasn't perfect. I'm working on that part.
-- Why did you choose the fourth block?
Zimmerman: Because there are many Golden Glory fighters in the other block. I wanted to fight some different types of fights.
I'm here to stop Remy.
-- What do you think about Bonjasky picking you as an opponent?
Zimmerman: I talked with my trainer and we felt that it doesn't matter if I fight Bonjasky, Badr, or Banner, it's still going to be a good experience for me. I was so glad when Bonjasky picked me, it was if I'd called him myself. If I fight him hen I will become stronger, so I was glad he picked me.
-- It's like a fight between the new generation and the champion.
Zimmerman: I don't care if my opponent is Champion or not. I don't care if Remy has the belt, I just care about the result of the match.
-- The fans are expecting a lot from the new generation.
Zimmerman: Well, that's another reason I'm glad about fighting Remy. I'm here to stop him. He gets points while keeping his guard up. I'm going to get points as well and KO him if I get a chance.
-- Do you dislike his point-based style?
Zimmerman: Badr lost last year because Remy wasn't fighting. Badr looked like he was fighting himself. I'm just going to jump in there and do my best. And I want you all to watch who's left standing.
-- If you could have chosen any opponent?
Zimmerman: The name that comes to mind is Badr. He's easy to fight, so it's Badr. The point in this tournament is figuring out how to make it to the end. You can't just make it on guts, you have to use your head.
I'm gonna do it my way.
-- Last year Remy beat your friend Gokhan Saki. Do you want revenge?
Zimmerman: If I get the chance, yes. He's like a brother to me and if he makes it into the tournament, I want him to see me KO Remy.
-- Remy's not very popular among other fighters. Your thoughts?
Zimmerman: A fighting style is a personal thing. I respect him. We will have to see how much pressure he brings on. If he doesn't come out fighting, then I'll have to go after him.
-- But if you do, a counter-attack will be waiting.
Zimmerman: That doesn't change a thing. Whoever puts on the most pressure will win. If I don't win by KO, I'll win by points. That's my job. It's not about his style. I'll just stick to my style.
-- We're looking forward to seeing you "party" on December 5th.
Zimmerman: It will be a huge party. I'm getting excited already. You can expect a great night.
