Gilbert "durinho" Burns mma debut

World Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Champion, Gilbert “Durinho” Burns is making his Mix Martial Arts debut at Sin City Fights. The event will be held July 30, 2011 beginning at 7pm at the South Point Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, NV.

This MMA up-and-comer is ready to step inside the ring and dominate this combat sport. Burn’s will be fighting Christian Fowler, another MMA newbie, at the second installment of Sin City Fights. This will be Burn’s first taste as a pro fighter, hoping to pave his way to the top of the MMA world as he did in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

Most recently, Burn’s had an incredible run at the 2011 World Pros, as he defeated Kron Gracie for the championship. This win has giving Burn’s the confidence to branch out in other forms of MMA. He is now training under Team Belfort, Vitor Belfort’s MMA team, at Xtreme Couture.

“I have reached my goal as a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu fighter, winning at World’s. I am excited to transition, giving myself a new challenge, a new goal” said Burn’s after a training.

Check your local listing for the second installment of Sin City Fights. World Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Champion, Gilbert “Durinho” Burns will be a fighter to keep an eye out for.
