*** BREAKING NEW *** IT’S SHOWTIME EVENT HARI v SAKI ON VERGE OF CANCELLATION
The highly anticipated Its Showtime event set for Saturday January 28th 2012 is dangerously close to cancellation due to the Dutch Bibop Law The BIBOB Law | DutchAmsterdam.nl (read more below). While intense negotiations have been gossiped about for nearly a year now regarding the potential Its Showtime and K-1 partnership, more and more public struggles seem to surface for both parties.
K-1 has had the well-documented financial issues as well as turmoil within the company causing the loss of a 2011 K-1 World Grand Prix as well as removal of several key members and Public Sale of partial assets.
On the Its Showtime front the rumored departure of Giorgio Petrosyan, which was heavily defended from within the organization, became true just days later when Petrosyan opted to leave the Promotion and stated payment issues, cancelled events he was scheduled to fight on including the Amsterdam Arena event due to the Its Showtime’s ties with the Hell’s Angel’s along with several other complaints.

Its Showtime also is seeing their biggest star and one of the most prevalent and controversial stars of all kickboxing steps into the Its Showtime Ring for his last bout for the Promotion on the above-mentioned January 28th card.

Bad Boy Badr Hari is an enigma in the fight game who always brings people to their feet and locks them in a gaze, salivating at his every move, not knowing what’s going to happen inside the ring and or out side of it. Hari will be leaving Its Showtime to transition into a Boxing career in America. Also note worthy is the announced departure of Tyrone Spong in the near future. The 3 mentioned fighters are the biggest draws for Its Showtime and they will be impossible to replace. If Its Showtime continues to flounder many more fighters will be left looking for a home and opportunity to fight.
The argument Its Showtime is presenting is that Mayor Crone of Leeuwarden has approved and given his blessing for this January 28th Its Showtime card featuring stars Gokhan Saki and Badr Hari.

The trouble with that is its well known that Mayor Crone pulls all the bells and whistles to make sporting events happen but the Government and Governing bodies have the power to over rule and veto any decision Mayor Crone may have made.
According to Dutch Telegraph printed 1/25/12 Telegraph writer Gijsbert ter Maat penned an article stating that this upcoming Its Showtime Event were Badr Hari will fight Gokhan Saki in the main is still in serious danger as the Bibop Law which can over rule any agreement or contract they desire and call to stop an event from occurring.
Rumors continue that the sovereign Dutch Government and its officials are going to be pressuring and forcing more and more the Bibop Law into affect with all events including sporting events that have continued ties to criminal and/or unruly activities.
Obviously many know several of the top fight organizations have had or continue to be related to criminal activity but specifically due to the news of this events “Closer Look” by the government we will mention the Its Showtime President Simon Rutz’ publicized relationship with the Hell’s Angels an Internationally recognized major crime syndicate. Not to mention the outstanding felony convictions standing over the head of main event star Badr Hari. More and more rumors started to swirl a few weeks ago and I’m attaching a post recently made concerning some of the issues.
Ferocious behind the scenes battle behind the scenes of K-1, can it be saved in 2012?
In Holland there is a lot of negative movement, Simon has had major problems with the law in the past and very close connections with the Hells Angels, A major crime syndicate. He has not produced any Fight events in the Amsterdam Arena. Previously he organized an event every year in the Amsterdam Arena and had 20.000 spectators - Major loss there. In Holland there is a new law called the Bibop law that gives the government the authorization to stop any live event, if they think there are connections with criminals or they suspect trouble. . This law has been strongly enforced with all Showtime and other events in The Netherlands.
More interesting news is that Badr Hari still has a felony conviction hanging above his head and then suddenly stops his fighting career in Holland he announced he would only fight three more times. The first two did not take place (last 16 in China and final 8 in Japan). The third fight of Badr would be a fight against Saki on January 28th 2012 in Leeuwarden. This is on the other side of Holland and maybe Simon thinks there is a place he would not be followed by the Bibop law. The truth is that Simon and Badr Hari still have connections with the Hells Angels and that Gokhan Saki has a lot of fans with a group called Satudarah - a hardcore motorbike gang in Holland. Both hells Angels and Saturdarah have made headlines in the news in Holland as they hate each others guts and with the Badr vs Saki fight coming up in Leeuwarden. Holland, it could very well be another canceled event under the Bibop Law.
Interesting to me was the part about Golden Glory Fight Gokhan Saki, although he has no personal ties with the dangerous motorcycle gang Saturdarah, he apparently has several fans within the organization including their highly ranked officers. I can understand the Dutch Governments fear and hesitation with allowing an event to take place in a closed arena where most likely members from both of the two largest opposing crime syndicates whom notoriously are at odds with one another will be in appearance. Especially at a sporting event where the athletes and fans commonly expose insecurities that trigger intense emotions and tempers, which are already known to be at an extreme high. Is the risk worth it to the government and will they allow this event to take place.
