Spotlight: Anastasia Yankova

Anastasia (Moskou, 01-03-1991) begon op haar 6e al met Kyokushin Karate na te zijn geinspireerd door Xena the Warrior. Op haar 14e nam een break om zich te concentreren op haar school. Tijdens een fitnesstraining echter werd ze door de trainer uitgenodigd om Muay Thai te komen trainen. Dit resulteerde dat ze eindigde in de ring met een ongeslagen record van 9-0 in Muay Thai / Kickboksen.

Hierna maakte ze de overstap naar het MMA waar ze na 2 gewonnen partijen door Bellator werd gecontracteerd. Ook hier bleef ze in 3 partijen ongeslagen waarmee ze haar record op 5-0 zette in het MMA.

There were 13 fights, Yankova’s the penultimate of the night. Yankova, in black tights, her hair braided back in rows, suffered a punishing first round but caught her opponent, Eleonora Tassinari, in an armlock 26 seconds into the second, winning by submission, and launching her career.

Yet Yankova not only participated in The Birth of a Nation, she has appeared in a promotional video titled “White Rex—Strength through beauty (Anastasia Yankova),” and in photos modeling their clothing, featuring White Rex’s swastika-like logo, as well as a shirt bearing the words “Royal Blood” and “Since 14.08.08”—a reference to the 14-word white supremacist mantra and the code for Heil Hitler. White Rex’s Tumblr page states that Yankova is “a good friend of ours.”

Waarom zou een Russische Nazi sympathieën hebben eigenlijk? Russen zijn Slavische ras en dit zijn in ogen van de Nazi's untermenschen.

Slavische volkeren, het mongoloïde en het negroïde ras waren, evenals Amerikaanse indianen en de volkeren van Centraal-Azië, minderwaardig in de ogen van de nazi's. Zij waren hooguit geschikt om hard te werken en zouden in de verre toekomst uitgeroeid moeten worden. Ook hier werden overigens om politieke redenen uitzonderingen op gemaakt, want Slavische staten als Slowakije en Bulgarije streden wel aan de zijde van de As. Binnen deze groep waren de Russen het 'laagst', omdat zij niet slechts 'minderwaardig' zouden zijn, maar eveneens het verderfelijke communisme hadden omhelsd. Krijgsgevangenen uit de Sovjet-Unie kregen dan ook een extra zware behandeling.
