UFC welterweight number one contender, Dan “The Outlaw” Hardy has commented on the decision by the promotion to air-brush out his stomach tattoos and remove his trademark red Mohawk on their revamped poster.
Speaking via MMAJunkie.com, Hardy said:
“I don't know. I'm not sure, to be honest. It was something to do with too much visual stimulus on the poster because obviously, the tattoo's quite prominent and it kind of draws the eye away from the important information about the fight, the show. That was the information that I got.”
“It doesn't really matter to me. Obviously, it would have been nice to have the tattoo on there, but at the end of the day, you can see my face, and that's the important thing. If they'd airbrushed my face off, I'd be a bit more concerned.”
Hardy is set to be featured on the UFC Primetime three part series, with the first episode airing tonight on SPIKE TV. Can the Brit pull off the upset of the year and defeat the man considered by many to be the best “pound for pound” fighter on the planet?
