Het kost me al veel tijd deze soap bij te houden, dus rot effe op met de verwijzingen naar filmfestivals......

Ben geen fan van Bas Boon, maar in deze thread komt hij wel met onderbouwde aantijgingen, die eigenlijk nauwelijks weerlegd worden. Hij kleurt het allemaal behoorlijk, maar in de kern blijven de argumenten wel redelijk staan. Het kan ook zijn dat dat te maken heeft met het feit dat er geen vertegenwoordiger van M-1, meedoet in deze discussie.
Een paar dingen vallen me wel op.
1. Als de aantijgingen waar zijn, met name mbt Appy Echteld, waarom zit er nog niemand vast dan.
2. Veel mensen geloven dat Fedor een spin in het web is bij M-1 omdat men zegt dat hij meebeslist. Fedor lijkt me zich niet echt bezig te houden met de zakelijke kant en hij zou niet de eerste topsporter of artiest zijn, die zwaar genaaid wordt door zijn management.
3. BB haalt steeds de criminele achtergrond van M-1 aan. Maar volgens mij is zijn eigen organisatie ook niet helemaal gespeent van mensen met een stevig strafblad, of de geruchten van nauwe banden met minder gezagsgetrouwe organisaties.

Nu weer terug naar BB, Jesselaar, Michaell en de andere hoofdrolspelers.....

Finkelstein had a good choice of words for the Golden Glory Gym founder, also revealing that him and "The Demolition Man" Alistair Overeem are actually a good friends, and that he respects his abilities as a fighter.

"It's not the first time I hear about the "steroid bully" comments, and all I have to say is that it was completely blown out of proportion. I would like to apologize to Alistair Overeem if he was offended by these words. Me and Alistair are very good friends and know each other for many years, so I will be very upset if he believes that I actually said this in an official interview.

Alistair Overeem is a very talented individual. I believe that he has a very bright future in Mixed Martial Arts. I met him several times in Japan. Me and his brother Valentjin are a very good friends, they visited me several times in St. Petersburg.

I did say the "steroid bully" phrase, but it was directed to the fighters who cancel the shows due to a failed drug test. I was very disappointed with Josh Barnett testing positive before the Affliction: Trilogy event, because many people were affected by the situation.

As for Bas Boon's comments, I know that in Holland people call him "heck" (transl. from Dutch - crazy) or "boer" (transl. from Dutch - farmer), what you can translate to russian as a "crazy ruffian". No one in the American or Dutch press takes him seriously. I would not go down to his level. I actually think that he should write books for children, he would be a very successful writer."

Alistair Overeem will defend his title for the first time in three years agains Fedor's latest opponent, Brett "The Grim" Rogers. The fight is expected to take place at Strikeforce: Heavy Artillery on May 15th. If the two managers will finally put their differences aside, Mixed Martial Arts fans would have an opportunity to see one of the most electrifying Heavyweight bouts of the recent time.

Finkelchstein: Fedor Would Fight Overeem Without Pre-Fight Testing

M-1 Global President Vadim Finkelchstein is clearing the air concerning comments he allegedly made about Alistair Overeem and performance-enhancing drugs after the Strikeforce heavyweight champion’s longtime trainer, Bas Boon, recently posted an unflattering account of the Russian promoter and manager on a Netherlands-based MMA Web site forum.

Boon’s post describes Finkelchstein and other M-1 executives as “scam artists” connected to organized crime, questions their managerial ability and gives an unverified account of M-1’s Apy Echteld threatening a Seattle co-promoter’s life.

Boon, a longtime combat sports figure in Holland and head of the Golden Glory fight team of which Overeem hails from, claimed authorship for the post when contacted by Sherdog.com on Tuesday.

“Everything I wrote is true,” Boon told Sherdog.com via e-mail.

Finkelchstein categorized all of Boon’s claims as false and likened them to tall tales.

“This seems like the plot of a particularly hokey children’s detective novel. … Someone taking part in hiring a killer in Russia is something you’d perhaps find in a Nancy Drew novel,” said Finkelchstein through the translation of Evgeni Kogan, M-1 Global’s director of operations. “It seems like the behavior of small children who have some kind of an argument and start threatening each other with all nightmarish things.”

Finkelchtein added that the “hitman” accusations first surfaced seven years ago and that no action, legal or otherwise, had ever been taken regarding it.

Finkelchstein told Sherdog.com on Tuesday that Boon’s campaign against him and his company has been ongoing for years. Finkelchstein said that Boon’s motivation has been recently fueled by his interest in securing a fight for Overeem with Fedor Emelianenko, whom M-1 manages.

“I was very surprised by those comments and the only explanation that I have is that it’s now spring, and it is not clear how spring sometimes affects insane people,” said Finkelchstein, “but this obviously has somehow affected Bas in a way to push him to, essentially out of nowhere, decide that he needs to preoccupy himself (this way).”

Finkelchstein, who has promoted numerous events worldwide under the M-1 banner, said he was most concerned about Boon’s statements that the Russian businessman and his organization had a connection with organized crime.

“That particular accusation concerned me, more than perhaps some of the others, specifically because it’s so blatantly untrue,” said Finkelchstein, who said he’d started working full-time at the age of 14 in Russia. “All of the money which I have earned, I’ve earned through work.”

Finkelchstein pointed to the attendance of former Russian President and current Prime Minister Vladimir Putin at one of his previous M-1 events, as well as members of the Russian government at a recent “Selection” event in Moscow.

“My continuing good relationship with the Russian government is tribute to the fact I’m a respected businessman and have absolutely no ties with crime, whatsoever,” he said.

Still, Finkelchstein was apologetic for comments he’d reportedly made about Overeem, some of which allegedly labeled the fighter a “steroid bully” and claimed that Emelianenko would not fight the Dutch fighter without appropriate pre-fight testing for performance-enhancing drugs. Without addressing any alleged comment specifically, Finkelchstein told Sherdog.com that he had made certain remarks about the fighter off the record that were not meant for print.

“About three or four months ago, I spoke to a journalist who I had a friendship with, who’d call me every day and continuously called me to ask about Fedor fighting Overeem,” said Finkelchstein. “When the conversation happened, it was off the record. I asked why if Overeem was such a great fighter, why didn’t he fight in the states? He hadn’t fought in the states in two years.”

Finkelchstein said he was regretful that the comments had been published without his knowledge or permission.

“I would expressly like to apologize to Alistair for the fact that those comments came out,” said Finkelchstein. “If I knew I was on the record in the public view, I would have never have said anything negative about a fighter. I have no ill will towards Alistair and I know him personally. This was something totally blown out of proportion by the journalist.”

Contrary to recent online reports, Finkelchstein also said that both Emelianenko and his team would not turn down a fight with Overeem if the bout were held in a jurisdiction, stateside or international, where performance-enhancing drug testing is not practiced.

“Testing for performance-enhancing drugs is, as far as I’m concerned, the responsibility of whatever athletic commission in whatever state the fight is going to happen in,” said Finkelchstein. “I don’t think that’s my business at all. I will be perfectly happy with whatever the commission does in regards to that.”

Finkelchstein said M-1 Global would pay close attention to Overeem’s first title defense against Brett Rogers at Strikeforce “Heavy Artillery” on May 15 in St. Louis. Mo.

“Both myself and Fedor are completely neutral when it comes to a fight with Alistair,” he said. “We see him just as we see any other opponent. In terms of practicability, the whole camp is eagerly awaiting the fight between Alistair Overeem and Brett Rogers. Based on the outcome on that, the heavyweight division in Strikeforce will become a lot more clearer and future opponents for Fedor will surface.”

Het lijkt of Andrey hem af en toe belde en naar aanleiding van het telefonische gesprek het nieuws op sports.ru publiceerde maar nooit om goedkeuring vraagde. Uiteindelijk heeft Andrey weer Vadim gesproken en dat tussen-onsje gepubliceerd hoewel zo'n gevoelige informatie eerst ter goedkeuring teruggestuurd moest worden.
Ik kreeg vanavond toevallig te horen dat precies hetzelfde met Alistair Overeem gebeurd is in het verleden hoewel het minder serious was. Dat betreft Fighters Only. Had je goede relatie met M-1, zou je dat echt kunnen begrijpen.

Appy Echteld was also caught on tape, for the people who do not know how this happened, I will explain one more time: Appy E was at that time also manager of Tyrone Spong. Another group in Holland was offering Spong to come fight for their fight team, in a desperate attempt to keep Tyrone Appy went to a sponsor. This sponsor did not really know Appy, but the sponsor told Appy, he would sponsor a car and money! After spend an hour in this men's office (sponsor) and Appy smoked a lot of weed. M-1 Appy started talking to this guy (the sponsor) if he did not know somebody who for for money could vanish a certain person! This person (who M-1 Appy want to have vanished) was the person who was talking to Tyrone to recruit him for his own fighting team. What Appy did not know is that he talked to a well known friend of the person who Appy tried to Vanish. This person could not believe his ears, so when Appy left he called this person (by coincidence the sponsor guy knew the mentioned person who Appy wanted to have vanished very well). Later this person (who Appy wanted to have vanished) came to my store with another guy and told me what happened. I think I saved Appies live that day, by telling them not to hurt him, but get a tape recordings and inviting Appy again to the same guy (the sponsor). I told them, promise Appy more money and a bigger Car for Tyrone and make sure you got some weed, I am sure he will repeat himself regarding the things in his last conversation. The guy agreed, but he only agreed, if he (the sponsor) was never mentioned and not be called as a witness!
When Appy came to his second meeting he really got from his chair and started spitting fire and make threads to many famous Dutch people from the fighting industry, not knowing everything was recorded (something like happened now with Vadim and the russian reporter) on the tape you could hear Appy threatening with Russians to wipe out the whole European fighting Network of Simon Rutz including threats and comments about many other prominent people in the fight industry.
This resulted in Appy hiding for his life as the person who had the tape went to everybody in Holland were Appy made threads to. Mix fight a famous forum in Holland were Boon sometimes post, was threatening to remove the whole story from the forum. But later when somebody approached mixfight with the discussed famous tape, they members of mixfight) heard that everything what I claimed was true, the topic on mix fight then reopened.
There were official complains about these dead threats with Russians, but the police told them (the people who went to police with these threads and tape) they needed the witness, they needed they guy (the sponsor who they promised would not get involved) on the tape who did the " interview" and that was a problem, as they promised him, he would not get involved. The second lucky thing Appy had with this "incident" is that his sister or another family member has a very high function with the police. However true mixfight and some comments about famous people in the fight industry who were all mentioned by Appy on the tape, Appy went in to hiding as he did not really said the "nicest" things about some BIG people in the Dutch fight industry! But about the threats with the Russians an official police rapport was made, but like I said before the police wanted to have the person with name to come forward who did the 'interview"! I am sure if we go on the achieves of this forums there are people who can confirm hearing everything what was said on these tapes, including people who work at mixfight.
All this was reported by Mixfight.ru and Mr. Flamboyant the nail Vadim knew exactley what his M-1 partner Appy did!

Later Joopie (jesselaar Anthony) called me and some other "friends" of Appy and said: Appy never did mean what he said, he was stoned , Appy blablabla, but some people took it very seriously!
About the Seattle promoter threats, I have this story from witnesses who were there when this happened, they told me the story in Japan as they know I have some old history with the Mr. Flamboyant the nail Vadim and Appy hire for kill Echteld!
Mr. Flamboyant should ask for a copy of the tape (maybe somebody could post this here, would be awesome!) and then ask himself again if his partner Appy E did not threatens to blow away certain people with Russians in Holland under the banner of M-1. Mr. Flamboyant was ducking me for years as he knows he still owes GG a huge amount of money on the Fedor management, only when the story came out on the Russian forums that M-1 guy Appy Echteld made threats to kill people with russians, Mr. Flamboyant the nail Vadim started to response to me with some ridicules accusations, which make no sense at all!

My campaign against Mr. Flamboyant Vadim has not been going on for years and its not a campani but the truth, we both had an agreement to not discuss our differences over the internet anymore. However recently Mr.Flamboyant Vadim broke that promise, which resulted in my response and like then were M-1 partner Appy was caught on tape also now an audio file can be heard to prove what a lying bunch they are at M-1!
Its no wonder that Mr. Flamboyant fears the accusations regarding involvement with crime and certain groups, he knows exactly why Pride went under. Yakuza scandals all over the news on TV, internet and newspapers, after the lawsuit against pride this all came in the press. Result Fuji Tv pulled the plug, Pride was dead. I think Mr. Flamboyant Finkelstein is smart enough to understand that history is repeating itself, as again M-1 is caught lying and manipulating and using threads to the press and others involved to keep the truth from coming out. But the backers of M-1 are reading this to and the son of the governor who is their money man, is talking about shutting down this shit whole M-1!
That conversation was not off the record at all between Mr. Flamboyant the nail Vadim and the russian reporter (inappropriate comments about GG fighter Alistair) and more people now because of reading my post on Russian forums start being more careful then blindly believe everything Mr. Flamboyant the Nail Finkelstein says, so the reporter tapes the conversation to prove whatever Mr. Flamboyant the nail Finkelstein was doing, was caught on tape and could be used later as prove that the words spoken from Mr. Flamboyant the nail Finkelstein were said by him (what a good vision from this men, I can see my post of the truth have effect)! More disgusting is the Mr. Flamboyant the nail Vadim called Barnet (a caught steroid user) as possible next opponent for Fedor!
Finally he talks about the Athletic commission, but in a statement on a Dutch forum , M-1 was asking that they also wanted a doctor who they appointed and when they want to do testing. This is not standard at all by the athletic commission and all this to discredit GG fighter Overeem, who never has been caught with anything illegal. While publicly saying that they would like to have Barnet as an opponent, who officially thru the same athletic commission they mention was caught two or three times?
Alistair Overeem fought 8 times last year, 6 times in two months and he was injured for 6 months, that is quit an achievement. No other fighter in history holds belts in MMA and got a third place in K-1 and has been fighting so much like Alistair did in the last year! That is quit some achievement, he is very busy and in K-1 he fought the strongest this year and performed really well! The fights were televised in 151 countries including Russia. M-1 has tried to use the steroid card to duck Alistair, but now when Alistair comes to the USA to fight and will get tested, the new excuse is that he still needs to prove himself and that Mr.Flamboyant the nail Vadim would rather see caught steroid user Barnett as an opponent!
I do not call Mr.Flamboyant the nail Vadim crazy, but he is drinking to much lately and apparently he does not really remember what kind of things he says to the press. The M-1 ship is sinking and mr Flamboyant the nail Vadim knows it!
