King Mo: "Fedor isn't unbeatable. I know women who can beat him"

Exclusive: King Mo' doesn't want to fight his 'brother' Babalu; says Fedor can be beaten and he's the man to do it

We spoke with Muhammed "King Mo'" Lawal at last weekend's MMA Expo in Toronto and we asked him about the prospect of fighting friend and training partner Renato Sobral, should Babalu get past Robbie Lawler in the pair's 195-pound catchweight bout tonight, and according to the Strikeforce light heavyweight champ, the fight will likely never happen.

"The thing is, Babalu is like my brother. I knew him before I started fighting and he was actually my favorite fighter when I first started to really follow the sport," explained Lawal. "I'll fight anybody but him."

So then, the question is who will Strikeforce match him up with?

Lawal points to one fighter with an equally regal nickname who he would like to fight, whose reputation he says has been greatly exaggerated: Fedor "The Last Emperor" Emelianenko.

"I really want to fight Fedor. Fedor isn't unbeatable. I know women who can beat him. I think Overeem will beat him, but that fight may never happen," King Mo' says. "If I was offered a fight with him tomorrow, I'd take it."

Having just defeated one of Emelianenko's training partners, Gegard Mousasi, whose name, like Fedor's, was also often mentioned preceding the adjective "unbeatable," Lawal, who spends hours analyzing tape and breaking down fights, styles and techniques believes that he can clear out the smoke and mirrors that he says create the mystique that has been perpetuated for the Russian fighter.

"I've been analyzing his fights and I've seen a lot of holes in his game. You look at the first round against Brett Rogers and tell me he if looked invincible," Lawal challenged. "I have a game plan to fight him and I know I can beat him."

King mootje verslaat Mousasi en denkt gelijk dat hij de beste vechter aller tijden ook even een lesje kan leren.
Fedor zou hem zo zwaar zn mond snoeren, dat hij (net als andere tegenstanders van Fedor) depressief gaat raken

Fedor heeft geen gameplan, hij maakt ter plekke tijdens het vechten een gameplan
