• Bellator may be on the verge of having some financial problems. They are putting on quality shows, but their gate revenue does not reflect it.
• Shinya Aoki chose not to wear his 'magical pants' because he wanted to prove to the world that his outfit is not his source of his accomplishments.
• Kikuno was scheduled to be Aoki's next opponent, but with his loss against JZ, things are undecided.
• Dana White recently stated that he signed Mark Hunt to the UFC to fulfill a contractual obligation when ZUFFA purchased Pride. There's actually a lot of stuff that ZUFFA is neglecting in regards to Pride's 2007 lawsuit. Interesting stuff if anyone wants to dig up legal records.
• ZUFFA will most likely remove Cain Velasquez's 'Brown Pride' tattoo in the official UFC 121 poster. The issue is still being debated. Apparently they want to get the Latin audience, but they're not sure of the social implications using 'Brown Pride' as that vehicle.

• The reason given for the firing of Vancouver's Athletic Commission head, Mirko Mladenovic, is inaccurate.

Mijns inziens is het nooit goed wanneer er sprake is van een monopolie, wat de UFC in principe praktisch heeft. Het komt de diversiteit van de sport niet ten goede (regels gefocust op worstelen, veel Amerikaanse vechters, die typisch Amerikaanse shit om het geheel heen die lang niet door ieder persoon aantrekkelijk wordt gevonden) en het geeft ook veel macht aan de UFC wat betreft loon van de vechters etc. Daarnaast, stel dat er nou iets gebeurd waardoor de UFC opgedoekt wordt? Dat zou de hele sport voor een behoorlijke tijd verneuken. Als de UFC eens zou stoppen met het hanteren van wurgcontracten en zijn vechters zou toestaan nu en dan in een andere organisatie te vechten (neem als voorbeeld de samenwerking tussen Dream en Strikeforce), zou dat een stel hele vette gevechten opleveren! Maar nee, Zuffa heeft de ogen strak op de eigen portemonnee gericht en probeert de rest dood te concurreren, ik snap dat dat in de maatschappij van vandaag de regel is maar persoonlijk zou ik graag een aantal organisaties zien die bereid zijn naast elkaar voort te bestaan.

Ik check het forum dagelijks sinds een aantal jaar en zie dat behoorlijk veel mensen andere organisaties failliet willen zien om alle goede vechters bij elkaar te brengen in één organisatie. Zou het alternatief waarin de UFC een wat vrijer beleid hanteert niet veel beter zijn voor alles en iedereen? Iedereen blij en zien we Fedor nog eens tegen Brock knokken..

Jij begrijpt dus niet wat voor gevolgen dit zou hebben... Ik zou ht liever andersom willen hebben. Ufc/zuffa failliet en iedereen naar dream/sforce.
