Strikeforce today added a pair of bouts to the undercard of its Dec. 4 “Henderson vs. Babalu” event, set to take place at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Mo.

Four Missouri-based fighters will square off in the newly-announced contests, as Lee Brousseau (Pictured) meets Mike Glenn at light heavyweight, and Ben Brown faces the debuting J.W. Wright in a 130-pound catch-weight affair.

Submitted via rear-naked choke in 87 seconds by Francisco “Kiko” France on the undercard of Strikeforce’s last St. Louis show in May, Brown subsequently bounced back with a quick submission win of his own at a local event in August.

“I'm absolutely looking to make amends on Dec. 4,” the Matt Hughes-trained Brown stated in a press release issued on Tuesday. “Honestly, I just got caught. I'd love to have a rematch. I don't talk down to anybody and have respect for everybody that does what we do, but I don't feel he is that much better than me. It just turned out he took advantage of an opportunity before I could.”

His opponent, Glenn, will be taking to the big stage for the first time in his three-year career, having lost four of his last five bouts.

A black belt under Royler Gracie, the 34-year-old Wright will look to carry his success on the mat into the cage as he faces Brown, an instructor at the local Finney’s MMA gym.

“I know Brown is a well-rounded MMA fighter and solid in all the disciplines,” said Wright. “He'll obviously be a tough opponent. But I'm definitely prepared. I've competed all my life.”

Headlining the Showtime-broadcast card is a 205-pound rematch between former two-division Pride champion Dan Henderson and ex-Strikeforce champ Renato “Babalu” Sobral. The pair previously met in the finals of the 1999 Rings King of Kings tournament, with Henderson eking out a majority decision. “Hendo” will attempt to rebound from a five-round unanimous decision loss to then-Strikeforce middleweight champion Jake Shields in April, while Sobral looks to follow up on his June decision win over Robbie Lawler.

On the televised undercard, British knockout artist Paul Daley takes on the similarly heavy-handed Scott Smith in a welterweight bout, while former EliteXC heavyweight champion Antonio Silva meets Valentijn Overeem, older brother of Strikeforce heavyweight champ Alistair Overeem. UFC veterans Matt Lindland and Robbie Lawler will square off at middleweight, while football legend Herschel Walker makes his second MMA appearance against the Californian heavyweight Scott Carson.

Also featured on the undercard is a trio of bouts featuring fighters from the Sherdog Fighter Exchange Program. Fellow Exchange Program members Fernando Bettega and Wayne Phillips will tussle at welterweight, while lightweight Max Martyniouk and middleweight Patrick Durkin Cummins will make their MMA debuts against Justin Lawrence and Terrell Brown, respectively.

“I feel terrible about this,” zegt Walker in een persbericht. “I know things like this happen in all sports, but I had trained very hard and was excited to be returning to the cage again. I hope to fight again as soon as the cut heals.”

Valentijn Overeem Injured, Strikeforce Debut Nixed

Less than a week after losing the novelty of former NFL great Herschel Walker’s second bout in the cage, Strikeforce: Henderson vs. Babalu 2 has suffered another blow.

Valentijn Overeem, brother of Strikeforce heavyweight champion Alistair Overeem, is injured and will be unable to fight Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva as planned on the Dec. 4 fight card on Showtime, said MMAWeekly.com sources. The nature of the injury was not disclosed.

The bout was to be Valentijn’s Strikeforce debut. He is currently on a two-fight winning streak, and was expected to be a strong addition to the promotion’s heavyweight class.

Silva, after losing to Fabricio Werdum at the end of 2009, surely wants to remain on the fight card and build on the momentum he started with a win over former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski in May.

Strikeforce has a strong roster of heavyweights, but with the bout being just one week away coupled with strong rumors of an upcoming heavyweight tournament, it sounds as if there aren’t too many fighters suitable for the Showtime telecast willing to step in on such short notice to face a fighter the caliber of Silva.

Strikeforce: Henderson vs. Babalu 2 features former Pride champion Dan Henderson fighting former Strikeforce champion Renato “Babalu” Sobral in the main event. The card also features a strong support cast featuring Matt Lindland against Robbie Lawler and Paul Daley facing Scott Smith.

Mike Kyle (18-7-1 MMA, 2-2-1 SF) has stepped in as an injury replacement for Valentijn Overeem (28-25 MMA, 0-0 SF) and now meets heavyweight Antonio Silva (14-2 MMA, 1-1 SF) at Saturday's "Strikeforce: Henderson vs. Babalu" event.

A light heavyweight bout between Benji Radach and Ovince St. Preux has been added to the televised portion of Saturday's Strikeforce: Henderson vs. Babalu II card in St. Louis.

ESPN.com first reported the new bout, and Strikeforce director of communications Mike Afromowitz confirmed the news with MMA Fighting Tuesday afternoon.

An open slot was made available on the Showtime telecast after Herschel Walker was forced to pull out of his fight against Scott Carson last week due to a cut he suffered in training.

Radach (19-5) hasn't competed since April 2009. The nine-year MMA veteran has dealt with a whole host of injuries since losing to Scott Smith in his Strikeforce debut 19 months ago. He typically fights at middleweight, but given the fact that this fight was put together on less than one week's notice, it will be contested at light heavyweight.

St. Preux (8-4) fought just 11 days ago, defeating Antwain Britt via unanimous decision at Strikeforce Challengers 12. The former University of Tennessee middle linebacker has won his last five fights in a row.

Here's the completed televised portion of Saturday night's Strikeforce card, which will air on Showtime from the Scottrade Center.

Dan Henderson vs. Renato "Babalu" Sobral
    Paul Daley vs. Scott Smith
    Matt Lindland vs. Robbie Lawler
    Antonio Silva vs. Mike Kyle
Benji Radach vs. Ovince St. Preux
