Chael Sonnen moet gewoon opdonderen uit de UFC hij is een cheater en een witwasser. Een grotere bad guy bestaat er gewoon niet. Geen goed voorbeeld voor MMA. Opdonderen.

Rashad en Rampage trainde ook de HW en GSP en Koscheck de LW, Chuck en Tito de MW. Dus snap niet waarom dat niet zou kunnen.

zijn redenering klopt als je alleen kijkt naar de laatste 2 tufs... tito en chuck zijn lhw en trainen mw, josh en gsp zijn ww en trainen lw dus als de competitie ww is zou het dan 2 mw vechters zijn. ik denk trouwens dat het gewoon toeval is en geen reden ofzo achter zit. ondanks ik groot ben van edgar lijkt het me niet dat het edgar vs maynard wordt daar zijn ze te 'soft' voor zij zullen niet de kijkers halen waar dana op hoopt. ik denk dan eerder toch aan lesnar en sonnen die ondanks hun gedrag etc. dat ze daar eerder voor gaan. ik hoop natuurlijk rampage vind het echt vermakelijk tv met hem maar de kans lijkt me klein

UFC President Dana White announced today that former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar and number one contender Junior dos Santos will match wits as the coaches of season 13 of the hit Spike TV reality series.

Following the season, which begins filming this month and begins airing on March 30, Lesnar and dos Santos will then match fists in the Octagon later in 2011.

This will be the first time either fighter has appeared on The Ultimate Fighter, which began airing on Spike in 2005. The last time heavyweights coached the show was during season eight in 2008, when dos Santos’ mentor, “Minotauro” Nogueira, faced off against former champion Frank Mir. This season, the two will coach a host of welterweight hopefuls looking to secure a UFC contract.

One of the biggest success stories of recent years, Brock Lesnar’s rise to the top of the UFC has been well-documented. A former NCAA Division I wrestling champion for the University of Minnesota, Lesnar brought size, speed, and power to the Octagon in 2008, and in only his fourth professional fight, he defeated Randy Couture for the heavyweight crown. After successful defenses against Mir and Shane Carwin, Lesnar lost his belt to Velasquez at UFC 121 last October. Determined to get his championship back, Lesnar knows the quickest way to do so is through dos Santos.

Unheralded Brazilian prospect Junior dos Santos turned into a contender overnight in 2008 when he knocked out highly-regarded veteran Fabricio Werdum in the first round. This spectacular debut was followed by finishes of Stefan Struve, Mirko Cro Cop, Gilbert Yvel, and Gabriel Gonzaga before earning a shot at the heavyweight title with a three round win over Roy Nelson. Yet instead of choosing to wait for Velasquez to return to action, dos Santos will risk his number one contender’s spot by coaching against - and then fighting - Lesnar later this year.

dit is echt cool!! WAR JDS! maar ook een beetje Lesnar!. ik vind trouwens JDS een klasse voorbeeld voor alle brazilianen je merkt altijd bij die jongen dat die z'n best doet om engels te leren en hij gaat straks zeker weten ook in het engels proberen communiceren. ik ben ervan overtuigd dat de jongens van JDS veel gaan leren, van Lesnar weet ik het niet zo. kijk uit naar JDS vs Lesnar!!

Helemaal mee eens man! Vond ik ook top van die gozer, op het begin alleen maar Braziliaans, daarna af en toe een zinnetje engels, en nu doet hij zo goed als complete engels interviews enzo siert hem wel. Verder denk ik ook dat die gasten daar echt van hem gaan leren zeker wat betreft boxen.

Kan erg interessant worden dit... Lesnar heeft weinig bagage om door te geven aan anderen (qua technieken)... maar goed, daar heeft hij hulp-pieten voor. Wel kan Lesnar ze een potje work-ethics leren... keihard trainen.En JDS, die is gewoon top.

Lesnar, haha. ben blij dat hij coach is en geen trainer. Nee ff serieus, ik respecteer hem want hij is wel de HW champ geweest, iedereen onderschat hem wel, maar als hij geen flikker kon was hij geen HW champ geweest. Ben benieuwd hoe Lesnar dit gaat aanpakken.

JDS dat is gewoon een held. klaar.

Ja dit is echt te erg voor woorden. Ik ben ook benieuwd wat de vechters denken die door hem gecoached worden: "I've got more experience then that fucker"

UFC President Explains Choice of ‘TUF 13’ Coaches

Two weeks ago, UFC President Dana White still was not sure who would coach the 13th season of “The Ultimate Fighter.”

“We were sitting there, working on this thing for such a long time,” White said on a Tuesday media conference call. “At the press conferences, everybody kept asking me. I said, ‘I’m behind the eight-ball. I should’ve had this done already.’”

With the show scheduled to go into production in late January, time was running short for the promotion to attach a pair of big-name fighters to the season. Then, one day, it came to White.

“There were a lot of different people we were looking at and then, boom, Cain Velasquez gets hurt,” said White. “I was literally driving to work one morning and I said, ‘You know what? This makes sense. Let’s see if we can do this.’”

Enter former heavyweight ace Brock Lesnar and top contender Junior dos Santos, who was next in line for a title shot before champion Velasquez was sidelined with a rotator cuff injury. With dos Santos riding a white-hot, six-fight Octagon win streak -- including wins over top-tier heavyweights Fabricio Werdum and Roy Nelson -- White said it made little sense for either the fighter or the promotion to have the Brazilian out of action for six to eight months.

“To put this guy on the shelf for a long time is ridiculous, and much credit to him for not wanting to go on the shelf,” said White. “We’ve seen guys who have been in similar situations that say, ‘You know what? I’ll just sit out and wait.’ Sitting out and waiting is insane.”

While getting dos Santos on board may have been relatively painless, the UFC executive could not say the same about the notoriously curmudgeonly Lesnar.

“In dealing with Brock, one minute, he can be into something, and the next minute, he can completely be not into something,” White explained. “I’m already prepared for this, mentally, and it’s gonna be a tough season. I know it is.”

After Lesnar had his heavyweight crown taken by Velasquez in a brutal October drubbing, rumors swirled that the former NCAA Division I wrestling champion was looking to retire from MMA and possibly return to pro-wrestling.

“None of that was true,” White said. “Obviously, I was in communication with Brock and his team, and talking to them the whole time... There was no wheeling and dealing about the WWE. I think everybody knows how I feel about that. He’s under contract with me.”

Though Lesnar has only three years and seven bouts’ worth of MMA experience, White bristled at the notion that the 33-year-old was unsuited to the task of coaching on the reality program, which premieres March 30 on Spike TV.

“The guy’s a former world champion, has beat guys and held the title. No matter what his record is, what the guy has accomplished in the short amount of time that he’s been in MMA is incredible,” White said. “To say the guy doesn’t have the credentials to coach ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ is probably one of the dumbest things I’ve ever heard.”

maarre coaches die sparren toch ook lekker met die gasten mee? wordt lachen dan met brock en welterweights. ze mogen er wel een stuk of 5 als reserve oproepen, omdat er minimaal al 3 sterven, omdat Brock ze per ongeluk had aangezien voor het vlees van zijn BBQ feessie
