UFC celebrates ten years



Exactly ten years has now passed since Lorenzo and Frank Fertitta combined their assets and bought UFC for about $ 2 000 000. In the same turns of events, they created Zuffa, which means “brawl” or “fight” in Italian, to act as a mother-company to UFC.

At first things went real bad, as Dana White and the Feritta brothers put over 40 million dollars into the company which still sank financially. Then came the turn-around, as Zuffa came up with the idea of having a show on TV with fighters, later called “The Ultimate Fighter“. Many say this is what kept Zuffa from going under and also brought MMA to the mainstream eye.

wat dacht je van ze zijn al bezig? en dat dat een jaar lang...want de komende UFC's en met name de cards van UFC 126,128 en 130 zijn om te smullen en de event die dit jaar in New York gaat komen zal waarschijnlijk helemaal de bom worden!
