Tim Hague Released From UFC For Third Time



Canadian heavyweight Tim “The Thrashing Machine” Hague (12-5) has been released from the Ultimate Fighting Championship for the third time. His dismissal follows last weekends first round TKO loss to Matt Mitrione in the co-main event of UFC: Fight for the Troops 2 in Fort Hood, Texas. Hague posted the news on his Facebook page.

“After getting released from the UFC again today, I’m gonna take a little break away from MMA, let the brain heal from my concussion, and get the passion/fire back.


Even toying with the idea of trying a cut to 205.”

“”I will be back though, I’m only 27, and I will make it back to the UFC.”

The heavyweight only managed a 1-4 record with the UFC in three separate stints over the past two years with the promotion.

Hague made his UFC debut against Pat Barry, submitting the kickboxer at UFC 98. He’d then go on to suffer a seven-second knockout loss to Todd Duffee at UFC 102. Next he’d lose a majority decision loss to Chris Tuchscherer at UFC 109, and then a unanimous decision loss to Joey Beltran at UFC 113. Hague would win two with a local Canadian promotion before being brought back to fight Mitrione.
