UFC releases Greg Soto
Welterweight grappler, Greg Soto has this week become the latest fighter to be axed from the UFC’s roster following a disappointing first round submission loss to Daniel Roberts at UFC 125 on January 1st in Las Vegas, Nevada.
According to MMADieHards.com, the fighter was released from his Zuffa contract a few days ago, with a source close to the situation revealing the news.
Soto, who trains alongside lightweight competitor Kurt Pellegrino, had gone 1-2 with the promotion, posting a win over UK fighter, Nick Osipczak, while losing out to Matt Riddle on his promotional debut.
