Als je op die youtube link klikt en helemaal naar boven scrollt zie je dat het us 7,95 moet gaan kosten

Best wel goed nieuws, aangezien het de eerste PPV voor MMA op youtube is. 7,95 dollar is ruim 5,50 euro, wat mij betreft een prima bedrag voor een online PPV. Als dit een succes wordt zal het me niets verbazen als de UFC hier in de toekomst ook gebruik van maakt. Laatst hadden ze al iets getest op youtube met een livestream.

Helaas heb ik dan net weer dat weekend een weekendje weg geboekt, dus zal het later moeten kijken

Glory World Series to Air Live on YouTube Pay-Per-View

Glory World Series will be offered live on YouTube pay-per-view on May 28, officials announced on Thursday.

According to a press release issued by the organization, this would mark the first combat sports pay-per-view offered live on YouTube pay-per-view. The event will cost $7.95 (USD) and can be ordered here.

Glory World Series will showcase both MMA and kickboxing fights. The event will feature two tournament finals: Siyar Bahadurzada vs. Tommy Depret in a MMA welterweight final and Gohkan Saki vs. Brice Guidon in a heavyweight kickboxing final. The winners of each tournament will earn $150,000 (USD) respectively.

Also, former UFC fighter Houston Alexander will meet Jason Jones in a light heavyweight MMA bout and current Strikeforce heavyweight Sergei Kharitonov will meet Mighty Mo in a heavyweight kickboxing bout.

Another interesting fight on the card involves Mark Miller, who will be returning to kickboxing for the first time since undergoing open heart surgery in 2007. "The Fight Shark" will meet Nikolaj Falin in a heavyweight kickboxing bout.

In total, there will be six MMA fights and six kickboxing fights on the card, which will be held in Moscow. Check out the full card here.

Wat nou UFC???? Glory heeft de primeur!! Het eerste ppv evenement op YouTube!!! Overal verkrijgbaar en met een YouTube kwaliteit! Deze card is zo vet die heeft niemand. Bij de UFC krijg twee partijen ende rest is onbekend. Ik denk dat Moskou niet meer weg te denken is in de volgende World Series.

Ik zeg toch nergens dat de UFC de eerste is? Als deze youtube ppv een succes wordt voor GG zal het me niets verbazen als de UFC in de toekomst ook PPV's via youtube gaat verkopen. Nu kun je die al voor ongeveer 13 euro op ufc.tv bestellen, maar youtube is veel meer mainstream en daarmee wordt een veel groter publiek bereikt.

http://www.youtube.com/fightgametv met glory worldseries zal altijd de eerste blijven, wat er ook gebeurt, natuurlijk is de ufc er ook mee bezig,maar wij zijn gewoon eerst.

Mooi initiatief en baanbrekend. Ik denk dat heel wat bedrijven dit in de gaten gaan houden. Als het werkt en de servers kunnen het aan kon het wel eens een groot succes worden. YouTube is natuurlijk bij uitstek Het medium om een groot publiek te bereiken.
