HeadKickLegend: Badr Hari and Daniel Ghita Set to Clash In Upcoming Months at @ItsShowtimeNL
Badr Hari and Daniel Ghita Set to Clash In Upcoming Months - Head ... - headkicklegend.com (By Matthew Roth)
MMA and Kick Boxing news is such that once word gets out, it spreads like wild fire. This is definitely one of those times. Former Managing Editor of Head Kick Legend and founder of Liverkick.com Dave Walsh is the first English speaking site to break the news that Daniel Ghita and Badr Hari are set to meet twice in the next 365 days. Many felt this was the logical fight for Hari's return at It's Showtime Lyon, and in fact, it was discussed between the two camps. However, it didn't come to fruition and fans were left with a disappointing fight with Tony Gregory. However, it seems we are finally going to see the two meet.
The news first broke on a Romanian site known as GSP.ro which stated that the two massively entertaining heavyweights would enter in a best of two series. The first fight is being negotiated for an It's Showtime Event planned this year on September 11th in Amsterdam. With no venue listed yet, it could be the perfect fight to headline an Amsterdam ArenA show. It should also be noted that September is already a busy month for It's Showtime, who are promoting their first 70kg MAX Grand Prix on September 24th in Brussels, Belgium.
The second fight is apparently set for early 2012 in Romania's Local Kombat promotion, which would make sense with promoter Eduard Irima hinting at a fight between the two Heavyweight monsters. For kick boxing fans, this is great news as there are promotions stepping up and filling the hole left by K-1. And with rumors of a K-1 return, this could be a great time for people to start following the sport we already love.
