Belangstelling voor seminar Gracie Jiu Jutsu door Valente Brothers?

Sinds een aantal jaar is er intensief contact met de Valente Brothers uit Miami (USA). Wij willen graag van jullie weten of er (voldoende) belangstelling is voor (een) seminar(s) met professor Gui Valente??

The Valente Brothers zijn direct opgeleid door Helio Gracie:

Gui Valente (Guilherme Valente) (born Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) is a Brazilian Gracie Jiu-Jitsu practitioner. Born into the Gracie Jiu-Jitsu tradition, he began learning Jiu-Jitsu from his father as soon as he learned how to walk. At age three, Gui was already taking private lessons from Grandmaster Hélio Gracie. Growing up, he trained daily at the original Gracie Academy in Rio de Janeiro under Hélio, Royler, and Rolker Gracie. Throughout his training they had the privilege to learn from all the Gracie Brothers: Rorion Gracie, Relson, Rickson Gracie, Rolker, Royler Gracie, Royce Gracie, and Robin.

"Professor" Gui Valente was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro. In 1999, Gui moved to South Florida to attend Barry University and help his brother, Pedro Valente with the Academy. By this time Valente Gracie Miami was officially opening as the home of authentic Gracie Jiu-Jitsu in South Florida. Gui received his Black belt at the age of 21 without skill directly from grandmaster Hélio Gracie. In 2001 Gui was awarded the Professor's Diploma, which has only been awarded to 25 people in 75 years.

Valente Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, also known as Gracie Miami, is a school of self-defense located in North Miami Beach Florida. The school has over 600 hundred students and currently teaches courses to the Miami-Dade Police Department[2], several local departments, the Army's Florida National Guard, and many other Military and Law Enforcement organizations.

The Valente Brothers specialize in the traditional Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Self-Defense System, which is taught to the general public as well as to police and military officials.

In onze ogen is het weer een unieke kans voor een geweldig leerzame seminar GJJ/ BJJ!
Het streven is de seminar in het voorjaar 2012 te laten plaatsvinden, onafhankelijk van elke bond. Iedereen kan deelnemen. De seminar zal dan gaan bestaan uit diverse programma's (Grappeling, No Gi, SD etc). Qua Kosten moet je denken aan zo rond de 40 Euro pp ps (afhankelijk van het aantal deelnemers/ donaties/ sponsoren).

De organisatie van de seminar vergt natuurlijk een goede voorbereiding, te beginnen met het toetsen van draagvlak. Dus laat horen wat je ervan vindt!!!! Dat kan als reply binnen deze post of mailen naar [email protected]

We hebben wat vragen gehad over de locatie. De exacte locatie bepalen we aan de hand van aantal aanmeldingen. In ieder geval is het streven het in de buurt van Amsterdam te laten plaatsvinden.

De seminar zal gesplist worden in diverse onderdelen:
- Authentiek Gracie Jiu Jutsu
- Grappeling GI (div levels)
- Grappeling No GI (div levels)
- Self Defense for law enforcement
