Alistair Overeem: 'I already know how to beat Junior dos Santos'

Sounds like "The Reem" has been doing his homework.Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heavyweight number one contender Alistair Overeem, who battles division champion Junior dos Santos at UFC 146 over the Memorial Day Weekend in Las Vegas, Nevada, already has a plan for taking care of "Cigano" on fight night. From MMA Fight Corner (via Cagewriter):
"The gameplan is already good to go. I already know how to beat him. It's just a matter of training and getting my body and mind in the 100 percent condition it needs to be in."
Overeem, who recently signed with Authentic Management Group, will probably want to stay away from "Sin City" casinos and Dutch fight camps if he wants his mind to be in "100-percent condition."
Overeem has been crushing the competition for years now, compiling 11 wins in 12 fights (one no contest) since 2007. He made a successful debut with the UFC last December by stopping (and retiring) Brock Lesnar in the first round by way of technical knockout (TKO) using his vaunted K-1 level striking.Dos Santos, no different than Overeem, has been absolutely destroying his competition. In fact, just like "Demolition Man," he hasn't lost a fight since 2007, the lone defeat of his career. However, unlike "The Reem," the Brazilian bomber has been running through top competition inside the Octagon. He's 8-0 under the UFC banner with five knockouts, including his 64-second destruction of Cain Velasquez that earned him the heavyweight strap.Time to find out which of these monsters is the true king of the heavyweights.Who ya' got?

Talking Jason 'Mayhem' Miller vs. C.B. Dollaway Set for UFC 146

Jason "Mayhem" Miller will return to the Octagon against C.B. Dollaway.

Follow @MMAFighting on Twitter, and LikeMMA Fighting on Facebook.
Feb 19, 2012 - A fight between two middleweights in need of a win has been added toUFC 146, the annual Memorial Day weekend card in Las Vegas: Jason "Mayhem" Miller vs. C.B. Dollaway.
The fight was announced on Saturday evening by the UFC.
"Ultimate Fighter runner-up C.B. ‘The Doberman’ Dollaway has verbally agreed to face recentUltimate Fighter coach Jason ‘Mayhem’ Miller in a middleweight bout at UFC 146 this May in Las Vegas," UFC President Dana White said in astatement at UFC.com.
Miller is coming off an ugly loss to his opposing Ultimate Fighter coach, Michael Bisping, in the Ultimate Fighter Finale. Miller looked so bad in that fight that White hinted it could be Miller's last fight in the Octagon, but the UFC has decided to give him another chance. Dollaway went 0-2 in 2011, getting finished by both Jared Hamman and Mark Munoz. The loser of the Miller-Dollaway fight may be out of work afterward.
UFC 146 takes place May 26 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. No other fights have been announced for the card, but it is expected to be headlined by a heavyweight title fight between Junior dos Santos and Alistair Overeem.

Edson Barboza vs. Evan Dunham Slated for UFC 146

A lightweight tilt with ‘Fight of the Night' potential has been added to the UFC's Memorial Day weekend fight card.
Announced Sunday, undefeated striker Edson Barboza has agreed to meet revitalized brawler Evan Dunham at UFC 146, scheduled for May 26, 2012 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. UFC President Dana White confirmed the bout via Twitter.

The holiday card is expected to be headlined by a heavyweight title scrap between Junior dos Santos and Alistair Overeem. Jason "Mayhem" Miller returns to the cage against C.B. Dollaway in the night's only other confirmed match-up.

Barboza (10-0) rides into the contest on a wave of momentum from his ridiculous third-round spinning wheel kick knockout of Terry Etim that earned both ‘Fight of the Night' and ‘Knockout of the Night' honors at UFC 142. The impressive 26-year-old is now 4-0 in his short UFC career, with wins over Ross Pearson, Anthony Njokuani, and Mike Lullo, along with four ‘Fight Night' bonuses to his credit.

Dunham (13-2), meanwhile, appears to have turned the corner after his run to title contention was halted by consecutive losses to Sean Sherk and Melvin Guillard. Known as 3-D, the 30-year-old has since recovered with brutal victories over Shamar Bailey and Nik Lentz, the latter of which earned ‘Fight of the Night' honors when Lentz was unable to continue due to what looked to be a broken orbital bone.

Dan Hardy to Meet Duane 'Bang' Ludwig at UFC 146

In what will more than likely be a standup fight, Duane "Bang" Ludwig is slated to meet Dan Hardy at UFC 146 on May 26 in Las Vegas, the UFC confirmed Wednesday.

Two welterweights with weaknesses on the floor and a strong preference to keep the fight standing, Ludwig and Hardy are both looking to get back on the winning track after coming off submission losses to Josh Neer and Chris Lytle, respectively.

Ludwig was recently seen in a loss to Neer by guillotine choke at the UFC on FX event on Jan. 20, putting a stop to Ludwig's momentum after two straight wins and the recognition of holding the UFC's fastest knockout.

Hardy has not won a fight since November 2009 and is riding a four-fight losing streak. Despite the skid, he's kept his job due to his gameness as a fighter.

UFC 146 will likely be headlined by a heavyweight title bout between champion Junior dos Santos and challenger Alistair Overeem.
