Dat hele Thai Fight Extreme kampioenschap was erg netjes georganiseerd het laatste gala werd lekker in de buitenlucht gehouden onder het toeziend oog van duizenden bezoekers.
Erg gaaf om te zien dat de sport daar zo leeft.

To All Thai Muay Thai fans,
From the conflict between Buakaw, the champion of Thai Fight 2011, and his previous camp, Por Pramuk, and Thai Sport Authority. I, Mr. Intarat Yodbangtoey, had received the order from General Jongsak Panishakul, the Secretary of Priminister of Thai Government to help solve the issue between Buakaw and everyone involved. Buakaw is a boxer who represents Thailand as on...e of the best muay thai boxers. He is also a cultural symbol for our country as well. With many experienced years in Muay Thai which he showed to the world by obtaining a two time K-1 champion in Thai Fight in 2011. I would like to step in and conceal the problem in a fair manner to everyone involved.
I spoke to Buakaw personally, and the correct information that I received is that Buakaw had been treated unfairly in way of pay-cuts and an unfair contract that was not clearly explained.
With proof in the form of documents, I , in the name of The office of National Identity, assign this project with the lead, and ordered from Big General Yoodthasak Sasriprapa, believes that Por Pramuk camp, Thai Fight event personals and Thai Sport Authority all represent Thai culture and need to discuss to help solve this issue as soon as possible.
On April 18, 2012 at 19:30-21:30pm Thailand time, I, Second General Intarat Yodbangtoey, received the order from Head General Jongsak Panishakul to help solve the problem that occured between these personals. By doing this, I repeatedly and continually report my actions for acknowledgement to Mr. Sakol Wannapong, the second commander of Thai Sport Authority. These are the results from information which I received from Buakaw:
1. Por Pramuk Camp must agree to pay 3 million Bahts for profit that are owed to Buakaw.
2. The 3 million Bahts can be substituted by letting Buakaw free from contract with Por Pramuk Camp.
3. If neither above are agreed from Por Pramuk Camp, Buakaw would continue to use his sur name as Por Pramuk for entering the fight, but the profit would be 40:60. Buakaw would received 60%, and Por Pramuk 40% until the 3 millions bahts are paid within this split profit. The money that Por Pramuk owed to Buakaw would be taken as 20% from each fight both in and out of the country of Thailand. Until the debt is paid and the five year contract has ended, Buakaw will continue to use sur name as Por Pramuk and train at his own facility. But all this would not involve the profit from the promoter both from commercial, pictures, movies etc.
And, as fair judgement to both sides, I will discuss this issue with Mr. Pramuk Rotejanaton before the final decision to solve this problem is to be made.

Vooralsnog is het niet de de bedoeling dat het een pleisterplaats gaat worden volgens mij, ik neem aan dat na een eventuele uitspraak aangaande het contract tussen Por. Pramuk en Buakaw er dingen gaan veranderen voorlopig is het enkel een plek waar Buakaw kan trainen/voorbereiden.

Muay Thai star Buakaw Por Pramuk admitted yesterday that his participation in last week's Thai Fight was unlawful.

Following a rift between Buakaw and the Por Pramuk camp, the 29-year-old fighter took part in the Pattaya event without weighing in.
"Yes, I did wrong. It was against the Boxing Act," he said before flying to Macau to film TV commercial for a foundation.
But the Surin native claimed others have also violated laws in the on-going conflict.
And he said he had not yet decided whether he would meet SAT officials or talk to people from the Por Pramuk camp on April 30.
"All I want to do is leave the camp," he said. "I don't care about facing legal action. I have done this to let society know what is going on."
Buakaw left the Por Pramuk camp last month. He first claimed he was badly treated by the camp but later said its bosses owed him prize money and other income.
Por Pramuk chief Pramuk Rojanatan has dismissed his claims and threatened legal action against the boxer unless he talks to him and they can find a way to settle their differences.

On 26 April 2012, representatives from the Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT) & Sport Art Co. (the organiser of Thai Fight) met with the Senate Standing Committee on Sports to explain why Buakaw fought on 17 April 2012. [Buakaw was a last minute replacement for Saiyok Pumpunmuang in the fight against Rustem Zaripov in that event.] Buakaw & representatives from Por Pramuk camp were not present as they had other commitments.

SAT said that Saiyok had fought less than 21 days prior to the event & did not fulfil the minimum rest period in between fights as required by regulations. SAT also said that they had been assured that Buakaw had been removed from the list of participating fighters.

Sport Art Co. said that they were faced with an urgent situation as they had not known beforehand that Saiyok was unable to fight. They would have suffered losses & gotten into trouble with their sponsors if they went ahead to stage the event without Buakaw.

SAT said that the Board of Boxing Sport's discipline & ethics committee will ask Sport Art Co. & Buakaw to clarify the terms of the contract between them at a meeting on 30 April 2012. This is due to uncertainty arising from the fact that the contract does not cover the month of April 2012 - it covers only Sept - Dec 2011 & Sept - Dec 2012. SAT will then discuss with Buakaw & Por Pramuk camp on 2 May 2012 & try to reach an agreement between them.

SAT hopes that things can be resolved through mediation for the sake of the country's image.

[Note: in an earlier press conference, Sport Art Co. said that they were informed only after the weigh-in that Saiyok was unable to fight.]

Sport Art Co. said that it was wrong of Por Pramuk camp to ask SAT to prevent Buakaw from participating in the event as Buakaw had already signed a contract to fight in Thai Fight back in October 2010, with Mr. Teeraphat Rojanathan (Au) of Por Pramuk camp signing as a witness.

While Sport Art Co. acknowledged that Buakaw's fight on 17 April 2012 was an infringement of the Boxing Act (1999), they explained that they would be sued by the event sponsors if they did not get Buakaw to fight as promised earlier.

As for claims that Buakaw had infringed regulations by fighting despite missing the weigh-in [on 16 April 2012], Sport Art Co. said that Buakaw had weighed in on the morning of 17 April 2012, & Rustem Zaripov had been informed about the change in opponent.

Before Buakaw disappeared from Por Pramuk camp, the camp had sent Sport Art Co. a medical certificate stating that Buakaw was not fit to participate in the 17 April 2012 event due to injury. The President of the Senate Standing Committee on Sports said that she would ask Buakaw & the doctor who issued the medical certificate to explain on 10 May 2012 if that was indeed the truth.

The Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand & President of the Olympic Committee of Thailand Gen. Yutthasak Sasiprapha has asked Maj. Gen. Intharat Yodbangtoey to mediate between Buakaw & Por Pramuk camp, after the camp filed a lawsuit against Buakaw yesterday.

Gen. Yutthasak said that he sympathises with Buakaw & will look into the details of his case. The Senate Standing Committee on Sports is also considering this issue. Buakaw's case should be used as an example in improving the lot of professional sportmen in Thailand so that their income & welfare will be on par with that of sportsmen in other countries.
