    The Amsterdam Open 2012 will be on Sunday October 28th

    THE WINNER OF EACH ELITE & BLUE BELT CATEGORY WILL GI!!
    All early registrations will receive the Amsterdam Open 2012 t-shirt!!

    RULES & FIGHT TIME
    The point system of the IBJJF (http://www.ibjjf.org/rules.htm) will be used.
    White Belt fights will last 5 minutes. Blue Belt fights will last 6 minutes.
    Elite (Purple & Up) fights will last 7 minutes. (If a purple belt faces a brown or black belt, purple belt rules will be applied)

    PRIZES
    Medals will be awarded for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd places.
    The winner of each blue & elite category will win a gi.
    There will be a trophy for the Best Team.

    WEIGHT CLASSES & REGISTRATION
    Men: -70kg, - 76 kg, - 82.3kg, -88.3 kg , -94.3 kg , -100.5 kg, + 100.5 kg
    Women: -60kg and +60kg
    (Weight categories and weigh-in are with gi)

    Early registration until October 1st
    The fee for early registration is € 25 and gives right to a Amsterdam Open 2012 t-shirt.
    Payment is possible by using bank deposit or Paypal.
    Early registration will close on October 1st

    Late registration until October 21st
    The fee for late registration is € 25
    Registration will close on Sunday October 21st

    If you haven’t paid and subscribed before the deadline, please do not come to the competition to try enrolling on the day itself, for this will be not be accepted.

    REGISTRATION CHECKDAY
    Thursday 25 October will be registration check day.
    ALL ATHLETES MUST CHECK THEIR REGISTRATION INFORMATION ON THE REGISTRATION CHECK DAY – 25 OCTOBER ON OUR WEBSITE: WWW.BJJHOLLAND.COM

    WEIGH-IN & FIGHT SCHEDULE
    A schedule with the start time of all categories will be available at our site on
    Thursday 25 October

    THE WEIGH IN WILL BE JUST BEFORE YOU STEP ON THE MAT FOR YOUR FIRST FIGHT.

    The athletes must be at the warm up area, according to their fight schedule.
    The athlete can only enter in the fighting area when called by the official.
    In case of victory the athlete must return to the warm up area, and remain there till the next fight.

    CHEAP HOSTEL
    There is a nice and cheap hostel in the center of Amsterdam. Rates are around 25 euro and you can book a room at: http://www.stayokay.com/index.php?&language=en
    If you want to stay in a hotel close to the center and central station, we recommend the Victoria Hotel.

    Waarom geen extra prijzen voor de witte banden?
    Het lijkt er nu op dat de opkomst van de witte banden de extra prijzen van de hogere banden betalen.

    Het heeft niets te maken met geld. Gi's worden vaak betaald door de sponsor en dus heeft het inschrijfgeld er niets mee te maken.
    Meestal is de opkomst bij de witte banden ook hoog genoeg.
    Blauwe banden vaak ook nog wel maar de elite klasse is vaak wat minder druk.
    Om deze klasse extra te motiveren geeft de sponsor vaak extra prijzen weg.
    Zie het ook als een waardering voor jarenlange training om uberhaupt op dit niveau te kunnen competen.
    Bij vrijwel alle toernooien zie je dit soort dingen terug.

    Medals are rewarded for every 1st 2nd and 3rd place of each division, Booster, Black Eagle & MANTO are providing the kimonos for the winners of the colored and the elite division.

    Beloofd weer een druk tournooi met veel deelnemers uit Frankrijk, Belgie, Duitsland, UK, Zwitserland, Czech Repuplic etc etc. check the competitors list.
