Volgens mij wordt dit wel een heel leuk seizoen! Die compilatie op 't einde belooft heel wat goeds. En naar mijn idee gaat het bij TUF altijd om de show en het spektakel. Als je daar door heen kan kijken is het best vermakelijk

Mooie partij als je het mij vraagt... Kan ontaarden in een slugfest met die twee...
Ik zeg Big Country by TKO in round 2!

Nou en of, heb het net ook even zitten kijken en het lijkt erop dat het goed mis gaat daar. Vooral die knul met die hanenkam laat zich goed gaan.

Als er 1 in staat zou moeten zijn om Nelson KO te pompen moet het carwin zijn denk ik, moet wel in de eerste ronde gebreuren denk ik anders is het cardio tankje leeg bij Carwin en zou het me niet verbazen als hij zelf KO/KTO gaat.

nelson kwam tegen Mir echt zwaar kracht te kort volgens mij en dit leek in de pot Mir VS Carwin juist andersom te zijn.

Wel een leuke beuk pot denk ik.

Dustin Poirier set to face Jonathan Brookins at TUF 16 Finale

With the disappointment of his May loss behind him, Dustin Poirier is moving on.

The Louisiana-born featherweight, who fell in a riveting, 2012 Fight of the Year candidate to Chan Sung Jung, has a new camp and a new fight.

Poirier recently joined up with the vaunted Florida-based camp American Top Team, and that's where he'll prepare for his next bout, scheduled against former Ultimate Fighter winner Jonathan Brookins.

The fight, which was verbally agreed to by both sides, according the UFC, will take place on the TUF 16 Finale on Dec. 15 in Las Vegas.

Poirier had stretched his win streak to five straight and had been considered one of the 145-pound division's top contenders until Jung caught him with a fight-ending D'arce during their May 15 bout. The loss dropped his record to 12-2.

His opponent Brookins (13-5) will also be looking to rebound from a loss, coming off a submission defeat at the hands of Charles Oliveira in June.

On the same event, the UFC also added a flyweight match between Tim Elliott and Jared Papazian.

Both men will be searching for their first win in the promotion.

Elliott (8-3-1) went the distance but ultimately lost in a decision to current No. 1 contender John Dodson while Papazian (14-8, 1 no contest) has dropped two in the octagon, most recently tapping to a Dustin Pague rear naked choke.

The TUF 16 finale features a heavyweight main event pitting coaches Shane Carwin and Roy Nelson head to head.

Roy Nelson, Shane Carwin both pass random drug tests

Ultimate Fighter coaches Roy Nelson and Shane Carwin both passed surprise drug tests administered three weeks ago by the Nevada State Athletic Commission.

The two will headline a Dec. 15 show, The Ultimate Fighter 16 finale, from the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. That card airs on FX.

Commission Executive Director Keith Kizer confirmed both fighters were tested for anabolic steroids and diuretics, and also noted that unlike a lot of fighters, when asked, both made it clear they were very happy to be tested.

"I called Shane the morning of the 18th, and he went right in (to the lab) right then and there," said Kizer. "I talked to Roy late on the 18th, and he went in first thing the next morning.

"Both were extremely happy to go. I had a similar experience when I talked with (Jorge) Gurgel and (Joe) Duarte at Strikeforce a couple of years ago (a fight in August 2011). It's not always the reaction. I've never had a negative reaction, but they were actually pleased to get tested."

Nelson (17-7) had pushed for outside testing of both he and Carwin

in the weeks leading to the fight by the Voluntary Anti-Doping Agency. Carwin (12-2), a former No. 1 ranked heavyweight contender, turned it down, with his management claiming the VADA web site had a negative article on him and questioned them being unbiased. Nelson, who has been outspoken about performance enhancing drugs in MMA, claiming that a number of his previous opponents were using, then enrolled on his own.
Nevada has funding for some testing of both boxers and MMA fighters out of competition. Headliners are often given surprise tests during training camp. All main event fighters and several other fighters chosen at random are tested the night of the fight.

The results of the testing just came in, as Kizer said they were delayed by about ten days due to Hurricane Sandy.
