ik zou zeggen struve vs bigfoot, winnaars en verliezers van beide partijen tegen elkaar. komt alleen qua tijdsplanning niet zo uit.

According to multiple reports, verbal agreements are in place between Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and Fabricio Werdum to coach the second season of 'The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil' (TUF: Brazil). Globo Esporte was the first to report the news.

The reports indicate the second season of 'TUF: Brazil' will begin filming in January of 2013 and broadcasting on the Brazilian television channel Globo in March. The cast will consist of welterweight fighters.

As is customary for coaches on TUF, the coaches will fight one another at the conclusion of the season. That impending fight between Nogueira, 36, and Werdum, 35, is a rematch of their bout in the quarterfinals of 2006 Openweight Grand Prix Quarterfinal at PRIDE Critical Countdown Absolute. Nogueira won that bout via unanimous decision.

This also marks the second time Nogueira has served as a coach on a version of this reality series. The former PRIDE and Interim UFC heavyweight champion coached opposite Frank Mir on season 8 of Spike TV's 'The Ultimate Fighter' in the U.S. Werdum, by contrast, served as the jiu-jitsu coach for Team Wanderlei Silva on the inaugural season of 'TUF: Brazil'.

Nogueira last competed this month at UFC 153 where he submitted Dave Herman by first-round armbar. Werdum last fought in the Octagon at UFC 147 in June of 2012 where he bested Mike Russow by first-round TKO.

While the UFC has not made any formal announcements regarding the show, the first edition of 'TUF: Brazil' was later aired in the U.S. on FUEL TV and on UFC.com.

UFC President Dana White recently conducted a roundtable with Brazilian media at ZUFFA headquarters, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
TATAME is reporting that Fabricio Werdum will get a title shot if he defeats Rodrigo Nogueira in early June.
"Yes. If he wins, they will have their title shot," White is quoted as saying.
Werdum and Noguira will be opposing coaches on the second season of TUF Brazil. The first series featured Vitor Belfort and Wanderlei Silva, who ultimately did not fighter after Beflort suffered an injury.

Als alistair van bigfoot wint en geen blessure oploopt dan is het geloif ik de bedoeling dat alistair zijn shot in mei of juni krijgt, mits de winnaar van cain/jds blessurevrij de octagon verlaat.

vreemd dat werdum nu al een titel shot krijgt. Zijn een aantal mensen die het eerder verdienen. laat hem maar is van een top 5 winnen in de ufc.

Niets zo veranderlijk als Dana, maar Overeem vs Werdum wordt hopelijk aantrekkelijker dan de laatste keer...

Gaat nog wel ff duren voordat die show is opgenomen en uitgezonden op tv. Denk dat Werdum/Nogeuria dan tegen de winnaar van JDS/UBEREEM moet in het najaar.

'The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil 2' cast unveiled with 28 welterweights

The 28 welterweights competing in the second edition of "The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil" have been revealed.

"TUF: Brazil 2," which features UFC heavyweights Antonio Rodrigo Noueira and Fabricio Werdum as coaches, debuts March 17 in Brazil on Globo. U.S. broadcast plans have yet to be announced, but the series is expected to be available in North American as an online stream.

As with the first season of "The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil," the new edition of the series begins with an elimination round of fights, which are expected to be featured in the first two episodes of the series. All winners of the those fights become official cast members. They then compete in a single-elimination tournament, which is the focus of the reality show's regular-season run.

"I think the level this season is extremely high," Nogueira stated in an official release announcing the cast. "I'm confident that apart from the season winner, we will be sending a lot of great fighters to the UFC in the future. Basically, we have the very elite of Brazilian MMA welterweights in front of us."

While most of the fighters are veterans of the Brazilian scene and largely undiscovered talent (in North America), there are a few notables, including DREAM veteran Yan Cabral and Sengoku and BAMMA veteran Leonardo Santos. A pair of familiar-sounding names are in the cast with Thiago Silva and Tiago Alves, though it's important to note those are not the UFC veterans most familiar to MMA fans.
