With all the sportive respect, who ever saw the result of todays (17.04.2015) final

at GFC 3 in Dubai Zabit Samedov vs. Danyo Ilunga

Danyo working like a one way street train against Zabit Samedov in the GFC tournament final.

Danyo clearly won the fight but the judges gave an Xtra R.

Danyo nearly KOs Samedov who is dead in the corner.

Danyo Ilunga loses by decision......people we don`t need this kind of stuff.

Hard work clearly fucked up. Samedov can`t clearly speak in the interview and say he is the best fighter...

Anyway on behalf of Team Ilunga/Bonjasky i will file an official protest on the results. These kind of things have to be stopped.

Overall Ilunga has a lot of volume but not many clean hits. For Samedov the reverse is true

Ilunga won EAsy and Clear. I like samedov but he lost. There was no need for extra round. And even the extra round was 1000 to 10 in points .

Yes but i must apologize for my statement about Samedov.

He just said: but 1 strong punch and so on, that is ok. I couldn`t imagine that Samedov is not professional, although he knows that he lost the fight.....I had a very bad livestream and thats why i didn`t get it correctly.

In the comments on Danyo`s facebook fanpage there are some very interesting comments. We did not realize the replay situation. It gets even more weird now. In a highlight of Zabit from the fight, the Xtra R is completely missing.

So we go now into deeper details.....

Listen guys.... I saw the fight. ILUNGA won all 3 rounds. The extra round was also clearly in Ilunga's favour. GFC JUDGES FUCKED ILUNGA BIGTIME. SMELLS LIKE POLITICS... AND YES, IT EVEN LOOKS LIKE THE GFC IS NOT 100% clean.....????

It reminds me a bit like what Dana White always says when a judging score is wrong; "never leave it in the hands of the judges". Unfortunate for Ilunga he was on the wrong side of the decision...

- Clear knockdown in round 1 for Samedov.
- Round 1 and 3 are close. 2 is clearly for Ilunga.
- Did the ref take a point away in the extra round at 20 min mark of the video?, or just a warning...?
- Ilunga won the extra round on volume but was lucky not to get a knockdown against him in the last 10 second.

All in all I believe Ilunga won, but it was definitely not the robbery of the century you are trying to make it out to be....

I'm sure betting and other politics play a big role in this tournament/organization. Not different from any others.

I agree with appelsap, everything i wanted to type he did for the both of us .

I just want to add, the way judges judge a fight is often subjective, do they go for a volumepuncher who doesn't land clean shots not talking about the kicks, or do they pick the fighter who lands clean rocking back the opponent's head many times and winning some exchanges clearly.

I give samedov a slight advantage the first round and round 3 especially the last minut of round 3, but the extra round i give to illunga altough i think he got dropped the last 10 seconds, with all these points taken in consideration i dont mind samedov winning had they given it to illunga i would not mind eather.

Yes but there are some weird things. Camera, cut (replays) and commentators show another fight. The commentators declare haymakers for clean shots. Declare slippery steps to a knockdown. A ref. Who does not know what he is doing, is giving strange warnings? for extreme holding and he talks to the corner of Samedov which looks like a warning. All Danyo' s weave and going back leads Samedov actions strike the air. In some Camera perspectives (when Samedov or Danyo is shown with the back to camera) mostly there is no connect. Analyze the videos correctly, other professionals have allready done it. You can see the comments on facebook. This was a clear and planned robbery. Just put together all the Puzzle. But i am really relaxed as i know there will be something in clearyfication. I am just waiting on the official Statement from the promotion. So i am that relaxed at the moment as we! Didn' t loose anything. All is good. But wait and see and Judge it later. Don' t be surprised in the end. We are just waiting which direction it will lead to. I don' t wan to say more now as i hope they are professionals from GFC side. Its their responsibility for the sports.

but the 3rd round ilunga destroyed zamedov . and he should have gotten the win
the fight was very close and could have gone both ways .. i believe in the eyes of the judges samedov stole the fight with a last offensive almost knocking down ilunga .. or maybe its gambling politics .. good luck with your appeal

Thanks a lot. We allready involved several high ranked judges and ref. specialists.

We have a clear picture of what is going on and try to solve this to the best extend for all parties.

First we filed an official protest right after the show. Second we give GFC the time they need, to speak internally and respond accordingly and professionally.

Right after we received a written statement from them, we will discuss it, try to get a solution and issue an official pressrelease going out to all international fightsportsmedia, Mixfight.nl included.

We have no intention to kick Samedov out of something or blame him in any way. He shall take part in the final in Japan. We don`t care about the money or the belt, honestly with leaving Dubai we had hooked it off and decided to go our own way.

The fighting world has witnessed the fight. Samedov has delivered his best performance and we understand also that he is their star.

But we want to get things solved for us (our team and the hard work in it and i.e. Danyo`s sportsmanship, i think he deserves it).

So now we wait for it, even if it needs a couple of days no worries at all.

Tip. Keep your strategies and confidence on resolving your issues in house when you start an appeal process. I don't think you do your fighter or yourself any favors by the way you handle this. But you are the manager so I assume you know best. Just my 2 cents.
