Waar ik deze keer bij Jones over twijfel is hoe zijn lichaam zal reageren na het afvallen. Hij heeft het afgelopen jaar flink aan de gewichten gezeten, ik weet niet of dat (na een weight cut) gevolgen zal hebben voor zijn explosiviteit en conditie?

Ik ben vooral benieuwd hoe dit fysiologisch uitpakt. Het zullen 5 loodzware rondes worden. Cormier heeft tussendoor nog even 2x overtuigend de titel verdedigd tegen significant langere tegenstanders. Jones daarentegen heeft zich niet echt bezig gehouden met het serieus nemen van zijn beroep als atleet. Daarom ben ik erg benieuwd hoe Jones het gaat doen. Timing, omgaan met zijn reach adv., wedstrijd ritme etc etc.
Wat een knal gevecht moet dit worden tussen deze twee toppers!

Most people seem to be counting him out against Jon Jones. With all due respect to Jon Jones, I understand that.But here is why you shouldn't count out Daniel Cormier.

He seems like a jovial character. Quick witted, never shy to poke fun. But he has a very competitive edge. A unique drive. A life full of challenges/tragedies most could not overcome. Daniel Cormier should be broken.

It takes a big man to overcome your own father being murdered on Thanksgiving day when you are 7 years old.
As a junior in high school, his close friend and teammate died in a car wreck.

A year later, his cousin died in a car accident.
In college, his teammate died in a plane crash that killed 10 people.

At 23 years old, Daniel Cormier's first child, a 3month old daughter, was killed in an accident.

Most people would break. They would shell up, socialize less, they would not be able to tap into what is inside that makes you great. He overcame.

He has been tested his entire life. Daniel Cormier lost by decision to Jon Jones. Since then, he became the lhw champion by finishing Anthony Johnson. He then fought Alexander Gustafsson who has a very similar build to Jon Jones.

He won.

Since fighting Daniel Cormier Jan of 2015, Jon Jones has lost his belt due to problems with the law. He has had documented incidents involving careless driving. Do not think for one minute the Daniel Cormier Jon Jones feud is fabricated.

Daniel Cormier has every reason to dislike someone who drives careless and does so after multiple incidents.

All had nothing for Daniel Cormier. None could win a round against him. Jon Jones made Daniel look human, and had established momentum by the end of 25 minutes. But Jon Jones, guess what? You didn't break him

Ik wil niks liever dan dat Cormier Jones pakkie geeft. Maar ik kan geen scenario voor me zien waar dat gebeurt.

Cormier heeft goed gevochten tegen Gus maar daar zag ik geen aanknopingspunten dat het volgende keer beter gaat tegen Jones.

Hoop dat ik het heel erg mis heb!

Hoopte al dat Cormier hem in het eerste gevecht zou pakken. Helaas lukte dat toen niet. Nu ik dit zo lees hoop ik op een KO voor Cormier

The video of Jon “Bones” Jones’ interaction with the police officer leaking is now the least of his worries. The former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion is currently in a holding cell after turning himself in to Albuquerque police on Tuesday morning, TMZ reports.

TMZ claims that a judge issued a warrant for Jones’ arrest for violating his probation after he was cited for “drag racing”. Jones cooperated and turned himself in.

Jones is currently under probation for his run-in with the law nearly one year ago when he fled the scene of a three-vehicle accident that left a pregnant woman injured. There is no word on whether or not his title fight with Daniel Cormier at UFC 197 is in danger of being delayed.

It should be noted that Jones plans to fight his drag racing ticket, as he claimed in the leaked video that he never sped off the line. He simply revved his engine.
