Gilbert Burns vs. Paul Felder added to UFC 208 in Brooklyn
A pair of lightweights looking to rebound from a recent loss is the latest addition to UFC 208.
Promotion officials today announced that Gilbert Burns (11-2 MMA, 4-2 UFC) and Paul Felder (12-3 MMA, 4-3 UFC) will meet at the event, which takes place Feb. 11 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.
A submission ace, Brazilian lightweight Burns fought most recently in September, losing a hard-fought decision to countryman Michel Prazeres at UFC Fight Night 95. With the result, “Durinho” fell to just 1-2 in his past three outings, though he had won the first 10 fights of his career prior to the recent setbacks.
Meanwhile, Felder fought on the same September card as Burns, with “The Irish Dragon” falling short via decision to Francisco Trinaldo. Prior to the loss, Felder had scored back-to-back wins over Josh Burkman and Daron Cruickshank.
With the addition to the card, UFC 208 now includes:
Holly Holm vs. Germaine de Randamie for inaugural women’s featherweight title
Jared Cannonier vs. Glover Teixeira
Travis Browne vs. Derrick Lewis
Ian McCall vs. Neil Seery
Roan Carneiro vs. Ryan LaFlare
Randy Brown vs. George Sullivan
Luis Henrique vs. Marcin Tybura
Nik Lentz vs. Islam Makhachev
Wilson Reis vs. Ulka Sasaki
Jim Miller vs. Dustin Poirier
