A Perth teenager has died after succumbing to severe dehydration while attempting to cut weight for an amateur Muay Thai fight.

A GoFundMe page set up by a friend said 18-year-old Jessica Lindsay collapsed when going for a run the day before her fight.
She died in hospital four days later.
Lindsay had been attempting to cut water weight in order to make the 64kg limit.
The WA Combat Sports Commission said they are "constantly reviewing processes and guidelines around contest health and safety" but conceded there was no legislation to covering the practice.
Weight cutting has long been an issue for martial arts organisations, as competitors attempt to gain a physical edge on their opponents.
