BJJ TOURNAMENT: HOLLAND GI CHALLENGE SUNDAY 17 FEBRUARY 2008

We would like to invite you for the Holland GI Challenge
on Sunday 17 th of February.

This will be a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu tournament under the official IBJJF rules.

THE MOST TECHNICAL FIGHTER WILL WIN A BJJ KEIKO KIMONO!!!

RULES
The rules for BJJ are the official rules of the IBJJF( http://www.ibjjf.org/rules.htm )

White Belt fights will last 5 minutes.
Blue Belt & Up fights will last 6 minutes.(only straight leg locks allowed and no biceps locks)

PRIZES
Medals will be awarded for the 1 st , 2 nd and 3 rd places.
The Most Technical Fighter will win a KEIKO GI.

WEIGHT CLASSES & INSCRIPTION
Official CBJJ weight classes: Men: -67kg, - 73 kg, - 79 kg, -85 kg , -91 kg , -97 kg, + 97 kg
Women: -60kg and +60kg

Inscription can be done until Thursday 14 th of February by using our on-line registrationform ( http://www.bjjholland.com/subscription.html ), or by sending an email to: [email protected]

In your email; mention your name, weight class, team and belt.

The inscription fee is 15,-€ until the 14 th of February .
Late inscriptions will be charged 25,-€

This fee can be paid at the weigh-in.
Weigh- in is at 9.00 and the competition starts at 10.30.

We are trying to make a better and more organized competition and we need you to contribute with us. Only sign in if you are sure about coming. People who sign in and don´t come, will have to transfer the money by bank account to enroll for the promoter's future events.

DIRECTIONS & CHEAP HOSTEL

From the airport take a train to Amsterdam Central Station. From Central Station take metro 53 in direction of ‘Gaasperplas', get out at stop ‘Ganzenhoef'. Cross the street, walk 50 meters to the left and you have arrived.

Ik hoop echter wel dat de 1ste wedstrijddag van de Grapplingcompetitie (Edgar / BAP), 10 februari begint.

Ik vind dat degene die zijn evenement eerst aankondigt (met precieze datum) "voorrang" heeft, en dat de organisatoren van andere evenementen hiermee rekening moeten houden. Dit niet doen helpt de sport niet vooruit!

Maar ik ben er zeker van dat dit voor de mensen van grappling Ede geen probleem kan zijn!

Er zijn mensen ingelicht over dit tournooi voordat de datum officieel bekend werd gemaakt, om eventueel te voorkomen dat er meerdere tournooien kort na of voor elkaar zouden plaatsvinden.

De eerste inschrijving is trouwens binnen..

Het wegen begint om 9:00
Eerste wedstrijd begint om 10:30

Mocht tegen deze tijd het wegen nog niet klaar zijn, dan gaat dat gewoon door tijdens de eerste wedstrijden.

Hoe en wat met de gewichtsklasse heb ik voor de duidelijkheid nog even aan de organisatie voorgelegd, ik laat dit z.s.m. weten.

Volgens mijn weten is wegen met GI en moet je uitkomen op onderstaande Official CBJJ weight classes. Mocht dit om een of andere reden toch anders zijn, dan zal de organisatie dit z.s.m. vermelden

zonder GI - Met GI

PENA -67 KG / 70 KG

LEVE -73 KG / 76 KG

MÉDIO -79 KG / 82,3 KG

MEIO PESADO -85 KG / 88,3 KG

PESADO -91 KG / 94,3 KG

SUPER PESADO -97 KG / 100,5 KG

PESADÍSSIMO +97

oke bedankt.

Ik weeg normaal tussen de 79 en 81.
maar als de gewichtsklasse met Gi is dan hoef ik niet 79kg te wegen maar kan ik mij met Gi inschrijven voor de -85kg en hoef ik dus ook niet speciaal op mijn gewicht te letten.

Als je -79 vecht, is dat -82,3 met gi, -85 is -88,3 met gi!

Er wordt aangegeven dat de weging met Gi is.
En op de aankondiging boven aan in het topic staan gewichtklasses -79kg en -85kg.
dan ga ik er dus vanuit dat als ik 80kg weeg + Gi dat ik in de -85kg klasse val.......

En als ik op mijn gewicht let en 79kg weeg zou dit dus niets uit mogen maken want met mijn Gi er bij val ik nog steeds in de -85kg klasse.

Trouwens waar hebben we het over, ik heb net 5 lessen met een Gi gehad, dus ik kan na het eerste potje toch op de tribune gaan zitten....LOL.

Er zijn al verschillende inschrijvingen binnen waaronder enkele van dit forum, er zijn op dit moment meer inschrijvingen uit het buitenland.

Nog even de feestdagen afwachten en kijken of ik onder de 79kg kan blijven.

Team Exit is nog niet aangemeld, maar gaan zeker aanwezig zijn. Dus grote kans op Forumbroeders Wim, Nicolas the red en Christophe!

Misschien verstandig om je op tijd aan te melden is maar 1 min werk, en bespaart je toch weer wat euries..

TEAM CHALLENGE

On this year's Holland Gi Challenge 2008 there will also be held a Team Challenge.

This will be only for blue belts.
The teams will be divided in two weight classes.

Lightweight: Till -75 kg (without Gi)
Heavyweight: Over +75 kg (without Gi)

Each team is composed of 3 competitors; the first team to reach 2 victories will win the round.

Each team must have a coach to write down the schedule that the fighters will follow (i.e. who fights first, who second and who last).

Medals will be awarded to the competitors of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.

Inscription fee is 30 euro per team and this fee can be paid at the weigh-in.

Inscription can be done until Thursday 14th of February by sending an email with the info about your team to: [email protected]
