They took me to the ER afterwards because they thought I landed on my head and that my neck was injured. I landed on my shoulder and my head simply bounced off the mat. My shoulder hurt more than anything else did. They X-rayed my neck and everything was OK.
I was out for about 30 seconds or so... after that everything was kind of fuzzy for a minute or two but then it all came back to me.

I ended the dude's fight career with the armbar ... he never fought again. You can see him grabbing his elbow in pain at the 40 second mark... then the docs take him over to the other corner to check him out at the end of the vid. I lost the fight but I won the war...

You know... what's so bad is.... almost the exact same thing happened to me in my 3rd fight. It was a real vale tudo match (not modern day MMA) meaning the only rules were no biting and no eye gouging and there was no weight limit. I was about 175# and my opponent was around 215# solid and jacked. I caught him in an armbar from guard and was hearing and feeling the "snap, crackle, pop" of this dudes elbow shredding... next thing I know I'm looking at the ceiling talking to the medics...
