Orono wint Lumpini-titel terug (filmpje)

Het is deze maand precies twee jaar geleden dat Orono de Lumpini 130lb titel won van Saenchai sor Kingstar (die hem een half jaar later weer terugwon) en nu heeft hij deze titel weer terug.
Panpet won deze titel enkele maanden geleden terug van longtime Lumpini en Thailand champion Singdam Kiatmoo9 maar heeft er dus niet lang van kunnen genieten.

was overigens niet de titel van het Lumpinee stadion. Orono won een toernooi en de titel van Thailand met deze partij.

Panpetch Chor Nah Phattalung vs Orono Wor Petchpun

The final featured Panpetch battling it out with Orono to see who got the grand prize of 500,000 baht and Panpetch put his Thailand Super-featherweight belt that he won from Singdam in the semi-final stage up for grabs. The atmosphere in the stadium is electric, with both fighters having a big group of supporters cheering them on. Both take their time to get going in the opening round, Orono opens up with a few solid punches. Panpetch just keeps it tight. Orono pushes forward at the start of the 2nd and opens up with some fast knees and more solid punches. Panpetch keeps it tight at first. Midway into the round Panpetch starts to open up and the fight moves into the clinch where both work in solid knees. The fight stays in the clinch for almost the whole of the 3rd round. Panpetch shows a vice like grip as he works in his knees. Orono trades back well and fires in some hard elbows to unsettle Panpetch. The 4th round sees more frentic action, with lots more solid work in the clinch and hard knees from both fighters. Midway through the round, Orono starts to pull ahead with some hard stabbing knees through the middle and some well timed, hard left kicks whenever the fights break from the clinch. Panpetch pushes forward in the final round, needing a big round to turn the fight around his way. Orono contains his attacks well though and comes back with enough counters to stay ahead and take the title.

ow, my bad! Wel apart dat Orono als thais kampioen niet in de top 10 geranked staat. Omdat het in Lumpini gevochten werd ging ik er automatisch vanuit dat het om de stadion-titel ging. Op welke website check jij die rankings Payap?

Orono staat nr.1 in het lichtgewicht van het Lumpinee stadion. Hij is er een tijd helemaal uit verdwenen geweest de rankings maar de laatste tijd met een hele goede comeback daar bezig.
