Afgelopen zaterdag vond in Zaandam de tweede editie plaats van Zaansation II, onder auspiciën van de M-O-N. Na een lange avond met twee Europese en twee Nederlandse titelpartijen, aangevuld met enkele zeer aantrekkelijke full Muaythai potten, kwam het uiteindelijk op een totaal van 44. Mixfight.nl was aanwezig en maakte de onderstaande fotoserie. Dank aan forumbroeders Glenn en Raveboy voor het bijhouden van de uitslagen.

De avond begon met een 10-tal jeugdpartijen waarbij vooral, zoals vanouds de jeugdige vechters van Matuari erg sterk uit de verf kwamen en ook Youben el Yandouzi van Sportschool de Butzelaar een erg mooie technische partij liet zien.

Afgelopen zaterdag was het hoog bezoek bij het evenement Zaansation in Sporthal de Vang in Zaandam. Chatoeron Chaiyakam, councelor van de Thaise Ambassade in Den Haag, vereerde het Nederlands Kampioenschap Muaythai met een bezoek. Hij zag o.a. de Full Muaythai Partij tussen Lotfi Serghini, van CoolGym versus Hamzi Rouki van Mousid Gym. Lotfi wist de partij in de derde ronde te beslissen door een TKO en mocht de felicitaties ontvangen van de councelor.

Councelor Chaiyakam was blij verrast met de Thaise muziek en omlijsting, de bloemendames (Wilawan Prachumram en Tawan Mai) werden nog even persoonlijk bedankt. Voor Nederlanders niet bijzonder, voor de Thai wel en dat is iets wat we willen respecteren. De councelor was zeer onder de indruk van het nivo en zag bijna geen verschil met de Thais. Voor ons een compliment, want dat is waar wij voor staan. Muaythai zoals het is en niet zoals men het hier bijna altijd doet, het bekende Dutch Muaythai Kic...kboxing.

Het was ook fijn om te zien dat de samenwerking tussen gemeente, politie en de MON soepel verliep. Met de politie hebben we overleg gehad over niet gewenste bezoekers. Het is een verademing dat men onderscheid maakt tussen sporters en bezoekers. Langzamerhand ziet en beseft men dat de organisatie, de sporters en coaches tezamen met officials en het publiek een schijf van 5 maken die allemaal invloed hebben op het evenement. Er zijn 4 onderdelen van de schijf die de MON kan aansturen c.q. regelen, maar de 5e schijf, het publiek, dat is veel lastiger en daar is overleg met de overheid voor nodig. En dat doet de MON.

Het hoofddoel van de MON in 2013 is ervoor te zorgen dat zij bij de overheid en gemeentes bekend is als de partij is die erkend is in de wereld om het Muaythai in Nederland te vertegenwoordigen, ook al zijn er meer soortgenoten en gelijken.
