Voor het vierde jaar in successie organiseerde promotor Satisch Jhamai in Den Haag het Fight Club Den Haag gala. En net als de voorgaande edities werd het dit jaar weer een goed, strak georganiseerd gala met veel top partijen waar naast de kickboksfans vooral de MMA liefhebbers weer eens hun hart konden ophalen.

Fight Club Den Haag kan zo ondertussen gezien worden als het, zo niet zeker een van de, top gala’s van het jaar in Nederland voor de MMA fans. Ook deze mooie zomerse dag van 22 juni had Fight Club Den Haag weer stevig uitgehaald. Maar liefst 32 partijen stonden op het programma waarvan het merendeel in het MMA.

Amateur partijen van 2 x 5 minuten en pro partijen van 3 x 5 minuten in het MMA en de kickbokspartijen op de traditionele 5 x 2 en 5 x 3 minuten zoals het ook hoort beloofde een hele lange dag ringplezier. Toch was de dag/avond voorbij voor je er erg in had want de ene na andere partijen werd voortijdig beëindigd waardoor om 11 uur iedereen tevreden naar huis kon deze dag.

In het MMA stonden er drie Europese titels op spel deze avond. In de hoofdpartij van de avond wist Nils van Noord zijn Europese titel succesvol te verdedigen tegen de Spanjaard Paco Estevez. In een slopende partij die voornamelijk op de grond afspeelde wist Nils van Noord de partij te winnen en kon hij zijn Europese titel prongoleren. Ook de andere Spaanse vechter moest met een nederlaag genoegen nemen en zonder Europese belt terug naar zijn vaderland want Hracho Darpinyan wist de partij vroegtijdig te beslissen in zijn voordeel. En ook hij kreeg de Europese belt om zijn middel. Zo werd het voor Spanje niet alleen in het voetbal een vervelende maand maar ook in het MMA.

De derde Europese titel ging tussen Pieter Buist en Raymond Jarman, beide uit Nederland. Opvallend werd bij dit titelgevecht niet begonnen met de volksliederen terwijl bij de andere titelgevechten dit wel het geval was. Wellicht omdat het twee Nederlanders betrof en niet twee verschillende nationaliteiten. Pieter Buist trok in de 1e ronde de partij stevig naar zich toe door goed lengte te gebruiken met vooral harde highkicks waar Raymond Jarman geen antwoord op wist te vinden. In de2e ronde wist echter Raymond een sterke ronde op de grond neer te zetten maar aan het eind van de ronde kreeg hij keiharde gesprongen knie te verwerken waardoor zijn wenkbrauw openscheurde en de partij door de arts werd gestopt. Europees kampioen: Pieter Buist!

In het Kickboksen vochten Redouan Koubini en Thanit Im On een Nederlands titelgevecht uit over 5 x 3 minuten. Nu zal Thanit Im On niet echt gauw de prijs winnen voor de langste 70 kg vechter, zijn tegenstander Redouan Koubini zal zeker hiervoor kans hebben op een plekje in het Guinness book of records. Redouan toornde dan ook zo een anderhalve kop boven Thanit uit een maakte uitstekend gebruik van deze extra lengte door zijn tegenstander met lange trappen te bestoken. Thanit bleef zoeken naar een mogelijkheid dit nadeel in reach te overbruggen maar wist hier geen passend antwoord op te vinden. In de 4e ronde werd hij getroffen door een hoge trap die hem 8-tellen bezorgde en Scheidsrechter Joop Ubeda deed beslissen de partij te stoppen.

Een andere opvallende partij deze avond in het kickboksen was tussen twee C-klassers waarvan een vechter de hele wedstrijd met zijn handen op de hoogte van zijn heupen rondliep en in een soort van Karate achtige stijl vocht. Ondanks dat je zou verwachten dat dit fout af zou lopen wist hij niet alleen de partij staande af te sluiten maar ook te winnen op punten. Slechts eenmaal leek het mis te gaan toen een harde spinning back fist doel trof maar hij wist deze knap weg te koppen.

Voor wie geen keuze kan maken tussen Kickboksen of MMA is wellicht het Rumble gevecht wat. In de 1e ronde 5 minuten Kickboksen waarna een 2e ronde volgt van 5 minuten MMA en tot slot een 3e ronde waar het publiek mag kiezen of het Kickboksen of MMA wordt. Bijzonder en voor mij ook de eerste keer dat ik een partij op deze regels zou zien. Marvin Sansaar begon echter de partij furieus en had waarschijnlijk de strategie zijn tegenstander Colin Mansur er uit te slaan voor er MMA regels aan te passen zouden komen. En tot een 2e ronde en dus MMA zou het ook niet komen want halverwege de 1e ronde stopte de dokter de partij ivm gescheurde wenkbrauw bij Colin Mansur zo dat we niet zullen weten hoe de partij zich verder zou hebben ontwikkeld op MMA regels en wat het publiek zou hebben gekozen voor de 3e ronde.

Fight Club Den Haag 2014 kan weer gezien worden als een geslaagd avondje MMA en Kickboksen en wij van Mixfight.nl hopen er net als ook in 2012 en 2013 en dit jaar er ook in 2015 weer bij te zijn als promotor Satisch Jhamai de vechtsportfans hopelijk weer verwend met een nieuwe editie van Fight Club Den Haag. Wij hebben in ieder geval genoten weer en danken bij deze Satisch voor het gastvrije ontvangst.

Morgen is het weer zover en zal het jaarlijkse gala van Fightclub Den haag zijn met een wederom vele top partijen in zo wel het Kickboksen als in het MMA.

Uiteraard zal er net als vorig jaar en de daar voor gaande jaren een uitgebreidt foto verslag zijn van dit gala op Mixight.nl.

Heb er weer zin in en verwacht morgen weer gezellig vele forumbroeders te spreken op dit gala.
