Athens, 20 May 2005 – Finland has won the 51st Eurovision Song Contest.

With the heavy metal anthem 'Hard Rock Hallelujah', Finnish rock band Lordi won the contest after an audience televote with a total score of 292 points, 44 ahead of second-placed Dima of Russia on 248 and Hari Mata Hari of Bosnia & Herzegovina in third place with 229.
