De tweede editie van Noord Gestoord mag met recht een gestoorde middag worden genoemd. Rond de klok van één uur was er een kleine brand onstaan in het Zonnehuis (FOTO'S!!!) (http://www.mixfight.nl/forum/showthread.php?t=90083)en de brandweer gaf een kleine anderhalf uur later het gebouw vrij. Het scheelde niet veel of het gala was niet doorgegaan, maar door het snelle optreden van de brandweer kon dat gelukkig worden voorkomen. Het historische Zonnehuis heeft gelukkig de 15de februari overleeft!! Na veel problemen kon het gala pas om 18.00 van start gaan. Voordeel was wel dat het publiek er wel enorm veel zin in had en dat de zaal al meteen erg goed gevuld was.

Noord Gestoord samengevat: Veel vechters van Mike's Gym waarvan ik de partij tussen de nieuwelingenparrtij van Sylvester Mendes (Mike’s Gym) tegenover Umberto (Pancration) er uit vond springen. Voor Umberto was dit zijn allereerste partij en hij was letterlijk uit het publiek getrokken. Umberto's partij was geweldig om naar te kijken en de gehele zaal ging uit hun dak.

Veel mooie partijen gezien deze avond! Erg jammer dat de partij tussen B-klasse vechters Brahim Khamal (Fightclub Purmerend) en Nibil Kamrani van 't Oude Westen niet langer duurde vanwege een medische interventie. De Rotterdammer van 't Oude Westen is een vechter met een erg mooie stijl om naar te kijken en daar had zeker meer in gezeten. Twee partijen daarna, de hoofdpartij sloot Silva het alsnog knallend af, door in de eerste ronde "the Hammer" Charkaoui naar het canvas te slaan.

Enige minpunt van de avond (tja, de brand en het late aanvangstijdstip waren absolute overmacht en dat kan een promotor nog een bond niet worden aangerekend) vond ik persoonlijk de arbitrage tijdens de MMA Pro partij van Knaap tegen Gandowski. De scheidsrechter maakte hier zeer veel fouten met als gevolg dat de hoek van Gandowski (Mike's Gym) zich uiteindelijk zelf maar met de partij ging bemoeien (het corrigeren van het veelvuldig vasthouden van de ringtouwen door Knaap als de scheidsrechter verzaakt) waardoor de gemoederen even heel hoog opliepen, wat eigenlijk niet nodig was geweest! Ben benieuwd naar de andere meningen over deze partij, aangezien veel Mixfight members deze avond aanwezig waren!

Mooie foto's !!

Ik snap alleen niet wat altijd de 'big deal' rond Michael Knaap is.
Het lijkt wel of het een hele happening is als hij komt.

Partijen winnen doet hij niet en hij staat nu op een record van 17-17-3.

Ik vind het wel altijd lache om hem te zien maar that's it.

Nou ja, blijkbaar wint ie dus wel partijen, 17 om precies te zijn. ;)

Waaronder een KO op Zentsov...

Lijkt me geen record om je voor te schamen. Hij zoekt altijd zware tegenstanders uit, en dan verlies je wel eens.

Het is niet waarschijnlijk dat hij op korte termijn UFC kampioen wordt, maar in Nederland is het toch een van de betere vechters.

Top weer Harmen en weer supersnel online :thup: (Ik zal m'n eigen foto's later op de dag online zetten in deze topic.)

Enige minpunt van de avond (tja, de brand en het late aanvangstijdstip waren absolute overmacht en dat kan een promotor nog een bond niet worden aangerekend) vond ik persoonlijk de arbitrage tijdens de MMA Pro partij van Knaap tegen Gandowski.
Ik probeer altijd zo min mogelijk te klagen over een scheids. Scheidsrechteren is mensenwerk, al moeilijk zat, en ik heb erg veel respect voor de mensen die dat doen. Zonder scheids geen wedstrijd (geldt trouwens ook voor de juryleden). Maar wat de scheids in deze wedstrijd liet zien was inderdaad van zo'n niveau dat dat gewoon eigenlijk niet kan. Ik heb er met verwondering naar zitten kijken. Op een gegeven moment werd er zelfs door de ringspeaker ingegrepen (waarschijnlijk ingegeven door de hoofdjury) die heel hard "Time out" bleef roepen.

Zo, bij deze ook nog even een aanvullend fotoverslag van mijn kant. Wel iets anders dan je normaal gesproken gewend bent. Ik heb pas geleden een nieuwe lens gekocht en moet deze nog een beetje leren kennen. Ideaal dus dat Harmen gisteren een verslag ging maken van Noord Gestoord. Dat gaf mij de vrijheid om er omheen wat plaatjes te schieten en een beetje te experimenteren.

Tussen de ronden door gooit Mike zijn vechters altijd even wat water in het gezicht. Ik ben benieuwd hoeveel liter hij gisteren heeft gebruikt :D . Leuke fotomomenten in ieder geval dus het gespetter komt een paar keer terug.
