Op zondag 3 oktober jl. organiseerde Team Furious in samenwerking met Team Slamm!! het gala Memento Mori. Een programma dat – op een MMA-partij na – bestond uit kickbokspartijen. De locatie die de organisatie voor deze gelegenheid had gekozen was de Maassilo in Rotterdam. Een locatie die normaal gesproken dienst doet als discotheek, bevindt zich in het havengebied.
Jeugdpartijen afgewisseld met C, B en een aantal A-klasse partijen. De ko van de avond komt ongetwijfeld op naam te staan van Mike de Snoo, die zijn Italiaanse tegenstander volledig overklaste. Vechten zit kennelijk in de familie want de vader van Mike is niemand minder dan Leo de Snoo. Een vechter die keer op keer het publiek op de banken bracht door zijn beukpartijen in de ring tegen de grootste namen van tijd. Denk aan de thrillers met Peter Smit, Ernesto Hoost en Luc Verheije. Of aan die legendarische avond in Lumpinee stadion in Bangkok toen Leo de Snoo de wereldtitel won tegen de Thai Sayid Khan. Zoon Mike volgt zijn vader voetsporen door zijn kickboksrecord met deze overwinning op 11-1 te zetten (7 ko).
Minder goed ging het Johny Lopez af. In eerste instantie lijkt het er vanuit het publiek gezien op dat Lopez ko is gegaan op een stoot, maar al snel blijkt dat het een stuk ernstiger is. Lopez heeft zijn been gebroken. Of het door een ongelukkige val komt of door de lowkick die direct voor de stoot is geplaatst is onbekend. De ambulance wordt gebeld en korte tijd later wordt Lopez onder luid applaus afgevoerd op de brancard. Hij is er zelf redelijk nuchter onder en spreekt het publiek vanaf de brancard zelfs nog even toe.
Ismael Londt van Team Slamm!! en Tommy van Wijngaarden van Bulls Gym draaien een hele mooie en vooral harde partij. Ismael scoort de meeste punten en lijkt Tommy hard te raken. Deze geeft echter geen krimp en vecht stug door. Ismael Londt wint de partij op punten en hiermee wordt het gala afgesloten.
