Remember WAMMA? The World Alliance of MMA was short-lived but left a large impact on MMA during it’s brief existence, crowning a heavyweight champ in Fedor Emelianenko and a lightweight champ in Shinya Aoki. The company ceased to exist for whatever reason, but their misfortune is your opportunity, as in your chance to own the authentic WAMMA championship belt.
Right now on eBay, you can bid for the original WAMMA championship belt, which has a starting bid of $1,595.00 if you decide to bid for it, or you can buy it now for a mere 2K. Here is the description from the auctioneer, who also happens to be the man who made this belt:
“Available is this championship belt made by Orlando Roman of ChampionCraft, the official belt maker for Strikeforce, Bellator, EliteXC, Cage Rage, MFC and many more top MMA promotions around the world. For a limited time, I’m making available the official championship belt for the World Alliance of Mix Martial Arts (WAMMA). This is not a cheap toy replica, it is the actual belt that is awarded to the WAMMA champion. Only 4 belts were ever made and Fedor Emelianenko owns the first one, which first debuted on Nov 7, 2009 on CBS for the Strikeforce / M-1 Global event “Fedor Vs. Rodgers”.
The belt is a 3 plate design dual plated in Nickel Silver and 24 Kt gold. Hand detail painted and set with simulated diamonds and purple gem stones. The WAMMA logo is molded out of an acylic resin, a feature you will not find in most championship belts today.”
The auction ends on August 25 at 19:34:32 PDT, pending someone does not buy it before then. Not gonna’ lie, if I had 2K to blow,

Was in Bangkok in een warenhuis en heb echt staan twijfelen om een UFC belt te kopen...die lagen daar als kinderspeelgoed voor 30 euri!
(zagen er echt leuk uit trouwens)

Tja, die belt is juist het gene waar hij (en iedere champ) zo hard voor gewerkt heeft en iets unieks is. Kan me voorstellen dat je dan niet blij bent als er hordes mensen in de rij staan met een replica belt waar jij je handtekening op mag zetten. Een shirtje is iets heel anders. die laatste riemen kan ik nieuw en gegraveerd voor minder krijgen. eventueel met persoonlijk logo. mochten er mensen zijn die dit soort dingen zoeken pm maar dan kan ik je een adres geven waar ze ze in voorraad hebben. (wil hier geen namen van bedrijven, het is niet als reclame bedoeld)

Waar maken mensen zich druk om... Als je al het werk doet puur voor die belt ben je ook niet goed snik! Je doet het voor jezelf lijkt me, voor de eer, etc.
