UFC president Dana White, CEO Lorenzo Fertitta, and COO Lawrence Epstein all flew to Albuquerque on Tuesday for a meeting Tuesday afternoon with light heavyweight Jones and his legal team. This of course follows Jones' arrest for leaving an accident involving personal injuries; the felony charge has a penalty of up to three years in prison.
Emmy Nominated news reporter for ABC affiliate KOAT Matt Howerton spoke with the UFC president. White said wryly that he was not ecstatic when he learned of Jones' arrest, and wanted to talk to Jon Jones and his attorney personally about the arrest.
White reported that it was a good meeting, and said he was heading back to Vegas to decide what to do next.
"You forget that these guys are human beings, and people make mistakes," White said to Howerton.
While that sounds conciliatory to some degree, White appeared on FOX Sports Live and said Jones was suspended indefinitely and that his title was lifted.
Jones made his first public statement since the incident.

Got a lot of soul searching to do. Sorry to everyone I've let down.
