Newcomer Danielle Taylor in for Kish vs. Maryna Moroz at UFC Fight Night 92 in Utah
After losing original opponent Justine Kish, Maryna Moroz has a new opponent for UFC Fight Night 92 next month.
With Kish (5-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC) forced out of the women’s strawweight bout with a spiral fracture of her finger, Moroz (7-1 MMA, 2-1 UFC) now will face octagon newcomer Danielle Taylor (7-1 MMA, 0-0 UFC) to open up the main card in Utah.
Featuring a featherweight matchup between Yair Rodriguez and Alex Caceres, UFC Fight Night 92 takes place Aug. 6 in Vivint Smart Home Arena in Salt Lake City. The night’s main card airs on FS1 following four preliminary bouts on the same channel and two prelims on UFC Fight Pass.
Taylor, from California, turned pro in 2014 and has all of her eight pro fights under the King of the Cage banner. In March, she avanged the lone loss of her career by stopping Jamie Colleen with a fifth-round TKO. Colleen knocked Taylor out in the fourth round of their first fight 11 month ago. Four of Taylor’s seven wins are by stoppage.
Moroz has six of her seven wins by stoppage. In April, she got back in the win column with a decision victory over Cristina Stanciu at UFC Fight Night 86. It was the first time she had to go to the judges’ scorecards to get a win, and the second straight fight to go the distance for her after dropping a decision to Valerie Letourneau at UFC Fight Night 74.
With the new fight, UFC Fight Night 92 now includes:
